Weima EX5 was officially listed in September 2018, with an official guided price range of 18.655-247300 yuan, a subsidized price range of 11.23-164800 yuan and a comprehensive mileage of 300-460km.

As a result of the 2020 Xiaopeng G3 on the market, the old car owners made an uproar. With the warning of Xiaopeng, Weimar released a letter to users before the new car was released. In addition, Weimar said from this letter that some upgrade policies for old car owners can be obtained in advance.

Weimar said in the letter that at present more than 13000 users have put their cars on insurance. "while releasing new products, Weima will ensure that the software of the sold models is synchronized and provide hardware iteration options for old users." Weimar said that this benefit will be available to every user of Weimar, and hardware iterative users will still enjoy a lifetime battery warranty.

It is understood that the 520km version of Weima EX5 has been exposed in the tax-free catalogue of new energy vehicles, there are two versions exposed, one is the EX5 550version, the other version is 520km, the other version is EX5 Pro, the other version is 510km; the battery capacity is 69kWh.

However, Weimar officials have not released any more information, and the "letter to users" mentioned that "hardware iterative users still enjoy a lifetime battery warranty guarantee." Does it mean that cash models can also improve battery life by upgrading their batteries? This also makes the old car owners full of reverie space.

Shen Hui, founder, chairman and CEO of Weimar, was vice president of Geely Holdings Group, senior vice president of Volvo Automotive Worldwide and chairman of Volvo Automotive China before founding Weimar. During Geely's tenure, Shen Hui realized Geely's merger and integration of Volvo, and then was responsible for Volvo's production and commercial operations in China, which turned Volvo into profits.

Although Weimar is the first new power manufacturer to get the qualification to build cars (including new energy vehicles and fuel cars, which it bought from Huanghai last year) and the first self-built factory. However, at this year's Shanghai Auto Show, Weimar's booth does not have any eye-catching blockbuster new cars, only the first launch of Weima EX5Pro, which is an upgraded version of EX5, while the second new car, the EX6, will not be available to consumers until around September this year, and its positioning will be higher than that of Weimar EX5, but it is also cost-effective.

But Weimar's road to starting a business has not been plain sailing. At the end of last year, Weimar was caught in a "delivery storm", which once triggered a discussion on the "credit value" of new car-building forces. However, according to the current delivery volume in the first quarter, Weimar is making relatively stable progress at present.

In terms of heat, Weima is obviously not enough for Xiaopeng and Xilai cars, and the consumer group is also smaller, but the model positioning and pricing are the lowest of the three. On the point of vehicle product power, Weima's performance is not bad. Weima can gladly accept and improve the opinions put forward by some consumers, which is also a condition that a good automobile manufacturer should have.
