With the launch of the new Xuanyi, the new Carola is coming soon. On July 18, FAW Toyota announced the pre-price of the new Corolla, with a total of eight models, including 1.2T avant-garde, 1.2t luxury and dual-engine elite models, with pre-prices of 120000 yuan, 136000 yuan and 145000 yuan, respectively. The prices of other models have not yet been announced. The car is the 12th generation of the Corolla, based on the TNGA architecture and has a lower body. It is understood that the official launch time of the new car is early August.

Based on the TNGA architecture, the new Corolla uses the latest design language of the Toyota family, similar to overseas models. Compared with cash, the main changes in its shape are larger grille size, narrower headlamp group, and lower hood, in which the shape of the big mouth is similar to that of the Asian dragon in the family. The only difference between the fuel version and the hybrid version is that the hybrid version of LOGO has a blue background and carries the HYBRID logo. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4635*1780*1435mm, wheelbase 2700mm, lower 45mm than the current height, thus having a lower center of gravity.

In terms of appearance, the new car is deeply integrated with Toyota's latest family design language, with a sharp and sci-fi headlight set on the front face, a large smoked grille surrounded by the front, a more lively waistline and roof outline than the current model. All these traits indicate that Carola has obviously evolved in the direction of movement.

In terms of interior decoration, FAW Toyota's new generation of Corolla is consistent with the overall design of overseas models, with simplicity, fashion and sports as the tone, and the lines of central control and door panels are very smooth and capable, bringing delightful visual effects. Unlike overseas models, the domestic Corolla will be equipped with a domestic version of the 12.1-inch vertical central control screen and PM2.5 filtering system.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.2T turbocharged engine of the current model, with a maximum power of 116hp (85kW), which can meet the sixth national emission standard and match the CVT gearbox in terms of transmission. In the hybrid version, the maximum power of the engine is 95 horsepower, the peak torque is 142Nm, the maximum power of the motor is 53kW, the peak torque is 163Nm, the comprehensive power of the whole system is 122hp, the declared value of comprehensive fuel consumption is 4L/100km, which matches the E-CVT gearbox.

As two Japanese compact cars with huge sales, the Corolla and Xuanyi are often compared, and their products are similar in strength. In addition to the aesthetic appearance that varies from person to person, the new Xuanyi is better in terms of body size; in terms of suspension, the Larola with double-wishbone independent suspension performs better; in terms of ride comfort, "small Teana" has more advantages; and in terms of power, Xuanyi is equipped with 1.6L engine, Carola provides 1.2T fuel and 1.6L hybrid options, so Carola's fuel economy is also more dominant.
