Under the influence of national policy, the new power of domestic car-building has risen rapidly, and there are as many as hundreds at a time, and the automobile industry is booming. However, with the decline of national new energy subsidies and the arrival of foreign enterprises such as Tesla, the new power of car-building has been dealt a severe blow. After the survival of the fittest managers, there are few new forces of car-building left. At present, only more than a dozen car-making enterprises have officially delivered to their customers.
Up to now, from the delivery volume of the new domestic car-building forces in May, Weimar and NIO occupy the top two in the industry, but in terms of sales, even the top two Weimar and NIO, sales are still bleak. As the big brother of the new power of car building, Lulai is the earliest company to deliver. The first model, the ES8, has delivered a total of 17550 vehicles since it was delivered in June last year, which is currently the largest delivery by the new force. However, from January to May this year, the ES8 delivered only 6387 vehicles, which is far from the 40, 000 delivery volume set by itself. At present, the completion is less than 20%. In late June, the ES6 was officially delivered. Even if ES8 and ES6 are delivered at the same time, sales are still dismal. NIO wants to complete the delivery of 40,000, the task is very arduous.
And Weima is also a new force that started earlier, and its first model, EX5, delivered 6437 vehicles from January to May this year, making it the sales champion of the new force of car building. However, compared with the difficulty of achieving the annual target, Weima also seems impractical. Last year, Weima set a target of 100000 vehicles this year, but at present, its completion rate is less than 10%, although the sales volume is the most. But the comparison between its sales and the total delivery volume is simply very different.
The decline of the national subsidy policy means that the attraction of new energy vehicles to consumers is gradually reduced, but this is not the main reason that affects its sales. Compared with traditional car companies, BAIC New Energy EU series ranked first in the first half of 2019, with 49000 vehicles sold, while BYD's EV, E5 and Tang DM models ranked second to fourth, with sales of 43000, 29000 and 24000 respectively.
Also as a new energy vehicle, why is there such a big difference between the traditional car company and the new power of car building?
The first is the brand. The course of the development of the new power of car building is very short, there is basically no history, and consumers do not have a deep understanding of the brand. Traditional car companies such as BYD and BAIC have a history of more than ten years or even decades of development, and their accumulated technology and products are deeply trusted by consumers.
The second is the sales channel. The sales channels of the new power of building cars are mostly sold through the Internet. Cars are luxury goods after all, and online shopping is still not practical for consumers. And many of its experience stores are located in big cities, the number is small, basically rarely seen in third-and fourth-tier cities, consumers can not have a detailed understanding of the brand and models. The traditional car companies are different, whether in first-tier cities or urban and rural areas, consumers can easily test-drive the car to buy.
Finally, there is the product aspect. Compared with traditional car companies, the new power of car building has a more sense of technology in modeling, but in terms of model products, it often shows a gap in chassis adjustment, and in chassis and other aspects, the experience of new forces is relatively less. the adjusted chassis will be lack of comfort and functionality. After years of product accumulation and user feedback, traditional car companies have a more mature scheme in the chassis and other technology, which is suitable for the preferences of the majority of consumers.
The new power of car-building from its birth to the present, like fleeting fireworks, although good-looking, but extremely short. Compared with the traditional car companies, the new forces have inevitable disadvantages and shortcomings, and the road of building cars is long and blocked. It is not easy to compete for a piece of meat in the severe car market in the future. I hope we can do the technology and make the models that consumers like.
