The original 2019 Xiaopeng G3 went on sale in December last year, but it was not officially delivered until the end of March this year. The price is 3000-12000 yuan higher than the 2020 Xiaopeng G3, and its mileage is 50-155km less than the new model. In other words, the 2019 Xiaopeng G3 has only been on the market for more than half a year. It became an "old model".

And this is only part of the situation. Some car owners just put forward the 2019 G3 in early July, and the new model was released in less than a week. Some car owners have not picked up their cars since they booked their cars in February this year, but they can only bring in 2019 G3 models and cannot change their orders.
Many car owners feel cheated. In the process of buying a car, Xiaopeng did not disclose any information about the launch of the new car. Instead, it recommended consumers to buy the 2019 G3 on the grounds of the return of new energy in June.
Xiaopeng said that the 2020 G3 is an annual change, not a brand new model, so it is just a warm-up for the market. in addition, the 2020 G3 was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in early June, but the information was not made public to the public. as for the sales staff to hide the launch of the new car, Xiaopeng said that the headquarters did not export this training content to any sales staff.

But this solution does not satisfy car owners, and more demands are for returning the car or replacing batteries or models with higher battery life.
In order to further meet the demands of car owners, Xiaopeng added a "choose one of two" compensation scheme for old car owners on July 18: the first is to subsidize 10,000 Xiaopeng Mall points for boutique purchase and car maintenance; the second is to provide Xiaopeng G3 2019 three-year 40% discount repurchase to cover the price difference for Xiaopeng car.
Xiaopeng Automobile also said that this will be the final plan given by the company, and he Xiaopeng said he Xiaopeng could not accept the owner's request for battery replacement and return of the car. Up to now, there are still many car owners who are not satisfied with choosing one of the two solutions, and the incident is still in a stalemate.

Since 2015, Xiaopeng has completed 14 billion yuan of financing, but because there is no new energy core of the three power systems and factories, Xiaopeng can only rely on external suppliers, coupled with high wages everywhere, the capital chain is under great pressure.

Although it claims to match Tesla, Xiaopeng Motor has borrowed a lot of Tesla's public patents and relies more on external procurement and integration. Some people in the industry also believe that many new car-building forces believe that the vehicle is made up of modules, and that a good module can be installed on the car, but they just ignore that one of the core technologies of automotive products lies in system integration and matching.
