However, the person in charge of Hangzhou Changjiang Automobile disagreed with the idea of stopping production, saying that the company has a batch of orders for commercial vehicles in production, and the passenger car workshop is currently working for zero-running cars, all of which are in normal operation.
As early as the beginning of this year, when Zero Auto's first production car, S01, was put on the market, it was announced that it had signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Changjiang Automobile, which became a typical case of new car-building forces acting as contract manufacturers for each other.
However, sales of zero-running cars are not large at present. On June 28, zero-running cars officially wanted the first batch of car owners to deliver 10 zero-running S01, and said that this year's new car sales will reach 10,000.
But even with the production of 10, 000 vehicles, Hangzhou Changjiang Motor, which has a capacity of 100000 vehicles, still has a lot of spare capacity. Hangzhou Changjiang Automobile is also looking for a way out. In May this year, Hangzhou Changjiang signed a contract with Shandong Hantang Electric vehicle Technology, but the cooperation with Hantang has not yet begun and is in the state of preparation.
The reason for being able to contract manufacturing for other car brands is that Changjiang Motor has the new energy dual qualifications approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, but even with dual qualifications, Changjiang Automobile frequently marries others.
In fact, as early as 2016, Changjiang launched a small SUV, and then unveiled at the Beijing auto show of the three concept cars, so far have not seen these models in mass production.
