AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/23 Report--
Fortune is the most influential magazine in the economic circle, and its global top 500 ranking list has always been the focus of economic circles. On July 22, Fortune magazine released its 2019 Fortune 500 list of 33 automakers and parts suppliers on the list this year, including six Chinese companies.
According to official data from Fortune, 23 of the 33 automakers and parts suppliers on the list this year are vehicle manufacturers, of which 6 are Chinese. They are SAIC, FAW, Beijing Automobile, Dongfeng Automobile, Guangzhou Automobile and Geely. The 10 auto parts suppliers are all foreign enterprises, namely, Bosch, Denso, mainland, Zaifu, Aixin Seiki, Magna, Hyundai Mobis, Bridgestone, Michelin and Sumitomo electricians.
Compared with last year, global car companies have performed badly this year, with only seven of the 33 companies on the list rising in the rankings: China FAW, Guangzhou Automobile, Geely, Volvo, Peugeot, Zefu and Continental Group. It is worth noting that Chinese companies accounted for three of the seven companies that rose in the rankings, of which FAW rose to 87 from 125 last year, Geely rose to 220 from 267 last year, and GAC rose from 202 to 189. With the exception of the seven rising companies, the other 25 companies have fallen in varying degrees, while Michelin's ranking is the same as last year.

Compared with last year, the performance of global auto companies this year is generally poor, with 25 auto companies falling in the rankings to varying degrees. The reason for the general decline in the ranking of auto companies is that the revenue of auto companies has generally decreased due to the downturn in the global auto market this year. According to the Automotive Research Institute of Essen University in Duisburg, Germany, the recession in the auto industry will continue for some time, and the ranking of global auto companies is likely to decline again when the Fortune 500 is released in 2020.
