According to domestic media reports, the conference of the second batch of vehicle evaluation results of the China Automobile Consumer Research and Test Center (hereinafter referred to as CCRT) in 2019 was held in Tianjin. This batch of car evaluation results covered eight popular models of compact cars, medium and large sedans, small SUV, compact SUV and medium and large SUV. From the overall results, a total of 4 models with a comprehensive score of 80 points or more became the recommended models of CCRT2019. There are 4 models with less than 80 points.

The evaluation results of the second batch of CCRT models in 2019 are summarized as follows:

From the result announcement meeting, 3 of the 8 models evaluated involved joint venture brands, all of which became the annual recommended models of CCRT; 5 involved independent brands, but only the high-end independent brand Red Flag became the annual recommended models of CCRT. It can be seen that there is still a certain gap between independent brands and joint venture brands, but there is little difference in scores, and the gap is not obvious, especially in terms of fuel consumption and sound insulation.

But what is worth affirming is that the appearance design, interior design, quality technology and interior space of independent brand models all catch up with the joint venture models. Independent brands mainly lose points in terms of modeling quality and economy, and more efforts should be made on manufacturing technology and power matching in the future.

CCRT was established by China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. on January 11, 2018; in May of the same year, it issued evaluation management rules and started all operation and evaluation work.

CCRT evaluation system is a four-level evaluation system based on the combination of users and tests, including 6 second-level indicators of driving performance, comfort, appearance and quality, economy, safety performance and failure rate, 21 third-level indicators and 72 fourth-level indicators.

So far, CCRT has successfully released the results of 41 models, which not only provides guidance for consumers to buy cars, but also adds new impetus to the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry.
