Tesla CEO Musk announced J.B., according to foreign media sources. As Tesla co-founder and chief technology officer, Straubel oversees the technical and engineering design of Tesla vehicles, focusing on batteries, motors, power electronics, and high-level software subsystems. He has more than 30 inventions, including Tesla's core battery management technology, core factory and car control system.

Obviously, Straubel's departure was a major loss for Tesla. Straubel has led several key Tesla technology projects over the years, particularly those related to batteries and power electronics.

Meanwhile, Tesla reported its second-quarter earnings on July 25. Tesla posted revenue of $6.35 billion in the second quarter, up from $4 billion in the same period last year, and a net loss of $408 million, narrowing the loss compared with a loss of $718 million in the same period last year and a loss of $702 million in the first quarter.

In terms of delivery figures, Tesla delivered 95,356 electric vehicles and produced 87,048 Tesla electric vehicles in the second quarter, surpassing the quarterly record of approximately 91,000 deliveries and 86,600 production units set in the fourth quarter of 2018. 72531 Model 3 vehicles were delivered in the quarter.

Tesla is delivering 360,000 to 400,000 vehicles this year and hopes to show a turnaround in subsequent quarters.
