In the list of car complaints in February, independent brand models accounted for 45%, and joint venture models accounted for 53%, of which American cars accounted for 17%, Japanese cars accounted for 11%, German cars accounted for 9%, while French and Korean cars accounted for 7% and 8% respectively.

From the nature of complaints, engine problems and body accessories and electrical problems accounted for the largest number of complaints, accounting for 29%, followed by gearbox problems, accounting for 18%.

Last year, Changan CS75 and Dongfeng Honda CR-V ranked first or second in the list of complaints due to increased engine oil, while Peugeot 408, which has a small brand and small sales, ranked third. When the oil storm faded, Peugeot 408 immediately reached the top, becoming the top of the quality complaint list in February.

The complaint volume of Dongfeng Peugeot 408 reached three, 182 in January and 160 in February. The main problems complained by the majority of car owners are: cracking of tire drum bags, abnormal noise of shock absorbers, engine fault lights, etc., generally speaking, there are more minor problems.

In fact, sales of the 408 are not big, with an average monthly sales of 2256 units in 2018 and 829 in January this year, but the number of complaints remains high. In the early years, when the Peugeot brand was a mainstream joint venture brand, it sold more than 10,000 units in 40August, but sales also fell sharply as the brand declined in China. The problem of DPCA itself is one of the reasons why the brand is going from bad to worse, but what can not be ignored is the user reputation and quality problems.

The body of Chery is rusty.

In the past, the image of independent brands is cheap and low-end, the body is loose, the level of manufacturing technology is not high, and the problem of car body rust is serious. with the development and iteration of technology, independent-brand cars have gradually entered the mainstream market. the phenomenon of car body rust that extremely affects quality and word-of-mouth is rare.

Arize 5 is the main compact car of Chery, and its customer complaints account for a large proportion of all models, with 96 cases in January and 65 cases ranked third in February. The main problems focus on the rust of the car body, abnormal noise of shock absorber, abnormal noise of engine and gearbox and so on. Some of the questions Chery manufacturers have given answers, "contact customers to invite into the station to deal with, specific vehicle problems, will actively investigate and deal with."

Nissan and Honda have more problems.

Japanese brands generally recognize that it is an echelon with a good reputation for quality, but after a series of quality disturbances, there are many problems, and car owners complain constantly.

Nissan is the sales champion of Japanese brands, but there are also many complaints about its main selling models. Xuanyi, Qijun and Xiaoke all have complaints about engines and gearboxes, mainly in gearbox bumps, engine noises, exhaust failures, and the phenomenon of burning engine oil.

Honda CR-V, Accord, Civic also have "increased oil" complaint phenomenon, engine problems have become the biggest complaint problem of Honda brand.

In addition, American cars also account for a large proportion of complaints, with Buick Yinglang and Ford focus in the forefront, both of which have engine-related complaints.

It is worth noting that on the list of complaints about the top 30 models, self-branded cars only occupy five, while the rest are joint venture models.

Regardless of the size of the sales volume, the high number of complaints objectively reflects that the car has quality problems that perplex users, which is related to brand reputation, after-sales service level, common defects of vehicle models, and so on. Consumers can use their own situation as a reference for car purchase. At the same time, manufacturers should also make targeted improvements in the light of user complaints.
