Volkswagen recently announced its sales in China for June and the first half of the year. Its sales in June were 354800, up 15% from the same period last year. Its total sales in the first half of this year was 1916600, down 3.9% from the same period last year. In order to achieve good results in half a year, on the morning of July 26th, the first vehicle in the pre-batch of FAW-Volkswagen A-SUV Coupe project was officially put off the line in Tianjin factory. As the first sedan SUV of FAW-Volkswagen brand, Tanyue Coupe has become the second sedan SUV that has completed pre-production of VFF in Tianjin factory after Audi Q3 sportback.

FAW-Volkswagen project is expected to show that the size of the Tanyue Coupe is basically the same as that of the ordinary version, with a 2.0T engine in power, a maximum speed of up to 222km/h and an acceleration of only 7.6s from zero to 100 kilometers, far exceeding the performance of Nissan Qijun 10.5s and Honda CR-V 9.4s. In terms of price, with reference to the starting price of 201900 yuan for Tanyue 2.0T model, it is expected that the starting price of Tanyue Coupe will also exceed 200000 yuan.

At the Volkswagen China SUV Night held on April 14 this year, A-SUV Coupe was unveiled as a "SUV Coupe Concept" concept car. In terms of appearance, this sedan SUV concept car continues most of the design language of FAW-Volkswagen Exploration Mountain, and the appearance is also very close to the state of mass production. In the front part, the overall layout of the new car is basically consistent with the mountain exploration, and the lower three-stage air intake design is in line with the sports style of Volkswagen R-line, exaggerated and atmospheric.

Compared to the front, the side and rear are the most unique features of the SUV Coupe concept car. It can be seen that the roof arc of the car begins to fall after passing through the B-pillar, with smooth lines and sloping rear windows, with upper and lower spoilers, looks more dynamic than the mountain exploration. According to the information previously obtained, the body size of the SUV Coupe concept car volume production version is 4586/1860/1635mm and the wheelbase is 2731mm.

In the rear part, the waistline of the car runs through above the taillights, outlining the dividing line between the rear window / C column and the tail as a whole, which looks very unique. At the same time, the new car's taillight group also uses the LED light belt design, full of science and technology, with a simple rear door panel, looks more advanced. The rear surround part of the new car is more complex, and the bilateral four-out chromium-plated exhaust port is only decorative, but it looks very domineering, with gray-and-black two-color protective plate, the sports style is more intense.

In terms of power, refer to Tanyue, we offer three types of 1.4T and 2.0T high / low power engines, of which the maximum power of 1.4T engine is 110kW (150PS), the peak torque is 250N ·m; the maximum power of 2.0T high / low power engine is 162kW and 137kW, the peak torque is 350N ·m and 320N ·m respectively, the transmission part matches the 7-speed wet DSG gearbox, and some models also provide 4MOTION four-wheel drive system.
