On August 1, the domestic professional automobile product defect information collection platform vehicle quality website released the domestic automobile complaint ranking and analysis report in July 2019. According to the data of the report, in July this year, the car quality Network received a total of 7055 valid complaints, an increase of 26.9 percent over the same period last year. The complaints involved 660 models, of which the number of complaints reached more than two digits. The top 30 models are as follows:

Dongfeng Peugeot 408 topped the top 30 list of vehicle complaints in July with 203 complaints, while Volvo XC60, the only two models with more than 100 complaints in July, ranked second with 144complaints. Overall, in the top 30 list of complaints, with the exception of a few models, the number of complaints decreased compared with July, the rest of the model complaints generally increased.
In July, the number of complaints against independent brands reached 3156, accounting for the largest proportion of complaints from different brands in various countries, reaching 45 per cent. Affected by the surge in Volvo XC60 complaints, the number of complaints by European brands rose 24.8% month-on-month in July, the highest among national brands in July.
In terms of vehicle properties, the top three types of vehicles with the largest number of complaints in July were still SUV, compact cars and medium-sized cars. Among them, the number of complaints against SUV models again exceeded 3000 this month, up 12.1% from the same period last year, while the number of complaints against compact cars continued to remain at more than 2000, ranking second. As the number of complaints against Audi A4L, Toyota Camry and Guangzhou Automobile Honda Accord continued to rise, the number of complaints against medium-sized cars reached 829 in July, up 12% from a year earlier.
In terms of the classification of quality problems of complaints, the quality problems with the highest number of complaints in July were still body accessories and electrical appliances, which was inextricably related to the continued increase in the number of complaints about Volvo XC60 body resonance; in addition, as the other two main quality problems of complaints, engine and transmission ranked second and third in terms of quality problems with 22% and 17% respectively.
As can be seen from the above data, despite the general downturn in the car market, domestic car complaints are still hot. In July, except for the decline in the number of complaints of four models, the number of complaints of other models increased to varying degrees. As a result of the recent "stall door" of Guangzhou Automobile Honda Accord, the number of complaints may further surge in August.
