Recently, Shenzhen Transportation Bureau released the dynamic information of Shenzhen ride-hailing industry in the first half of 2019. Data show that as of June 30, about half of online car-hailing orders received less than 10 orders per day, online car-hailing cancelled 1597, and the number of car-hailing out of operation increased significantly compared with the previous two years.

At present, the average daily order of each online car-hailing car in Shenzhen is about 9.3, the average daily mileage is about 84.0km, the average daily passenger mileage is about 73.2km, and the average daily order operation amount per car is about 296.2 yuan.

According to the data of the Municipal Bureau of Transportation, the average daily order volume of Shenzhen cruise taxis reached 35.1, the average daily mileage was 384.5 km, and the average daily income per car reached 1027 yuan, which was much higher than the average daily income of online ride-hailing.

According to the data of each platform, the number of vehicles receiving less than 10 orders (excluding 10 orders) per day in the city is 30694, accounting for 49% of the total number of vehicles receiving orders; the number of vehicles receiving 10-20 orders per day (including 10 orders, excluding 20 orders) is 26489, accounting for 42% of the total number of vehicles receiving orders; and the number of vehicles receiving 20 or more orders per day is 5976, accounting for 9% of the total number of vehicles receiving orders.

In addition, Shenzhen has issued 53330 online taxi transport certificates and 64661 driver's licenses. 2123 online car-hailing vehicles have been cancelled and withdrawn from operation, and the number of withdrawal from operation has also increased significantly compared with the previous two years.

The reason why there is such a big difference is indeed affected by the fierce competition among many online ride-hailing companies. And at present, there are 58.3 taxis with 10,000 people in Shenzhen (including cruise taxis and licensed ride-hailing), which is also far more than 20 in traffic planning, even higher than the level of most cities. In addition, in a city with such a large number of owners, it is more convenient to park taxis on hand.
