According to netizens, the car owner bought an E300L car at Qinghai Star Mercedes-Benz 4s store in March this year for about 500000 yuan.

However, in July this year, while driving normally on Chaidamu Road, a broken axle on the right front wheel of the vehicle caused the steering wheel to deviate to the right, and it crashed into a white car parked on the side of the road, with only slight scratches on its body.

Then the car owner contacted the insurance company, and when the insurance company sent personnel to the scene to understand the situation, it was said that it was a vehicle quality problem and asked it to find a 4S store.

In desperation, the car owner can only call the 4S store and tow the vehicle back to the store for testing and repair. now, more than half a month has passed, the 4S store has not given a solution, but refused to admit the quality problem on the grounds of collision.

As early as January this year, the China Automotive quality Network has already issued articles soliciting the problem of Mercedes-Benz E-class "shock absorber fracture" and the quality complaint of "Beijing Mercedes-Benz E-Class shock absorber deformation and fracture". This will provide clues for the relevant departments of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration to investigate automobile defects, and once confirmed, the General Administration may carry out automobile defect investigation and recall supervision.

There are also numerous cases of fracture failure of the lower fork structure of Mercedes-Benz shock absorber on the network, and some people in the industry explained that the strength caused by poor structural design of the lower fork of the main shock absorber (Mercedes-Benz E) is not strong enough. Shaking left and right is either out of balance or broken at the root. Because of this problem, Mercedes-Benz also recalled the safety risks caused by shock absorbers in May this year.

Mercedes-Benz issued eight recall announcements in the first half of 2019, recalling about 720000 vehicles. In 2018, Mercedes-Benz issued a total of 21 recalls, a total of 178100 vehicles. Mercedes-Benz recalled four times as many in the first five months of 2019 as it did for the whole of 2018.

Overall, Mercedes-Benz has recalled nearly 900000 vehicles in the 18 months since 2018. Meanwhile, sales of the Mercedes-Benz brand in China in 2018 were 653000, up 11% from a year earlier. In the first half of 2019, Mercedes-Benz (including the smart brand) sold a total of 350004 new cars in the Chinese market, an increase of 1.0% over the same period last year.
