AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/05 Report--
Reviewing the recall announcement issued by the defective Product Management Center of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in July, 374834 vehicles involving 12 brands were recalled, down 69.02% from the same period last year and an increase of 695.98% from the previous month. Data show that this month issued a total of 10 passenger car recalls, a total of nearly 30 models. It is worth mentioning that more than 60% of Japanese cars were recalled in July, including Toyota, Honda and Acura.
On the whole, the proportion of imported vehicles gradually increased compared with the same period last year, and in July, imported models accounted for 30.95% of the total recalled, an increase of 27.07% over the same period last year. On the other hand, the proportion of independent brands and joint venture brands has greatly reduced, of which 59.62% of the joint venture brands mainly come from the contribution of Japanese "Shuangtian".
In July, Japanese brands led the domestic passenger car recall list with absolute "advantage". Toyota, Honda and Acura recalled a total of 225150 vehicles, accounting for 60.07% of the total; secondly, German brands recalled a total of 72453 vehicles, accounting for 19.33% of the total; followed by American brands recalled 44333 vehicles, accounting for 11.83%; independent brands recalled 32658 vehicles, accounting for 8.71% In addition, two brands recalled a total of 240 cars, accounting for 0.06%.
This month FAW Toyota topped the list with a recall of 130375 vehicles due to crown bumper problems, accounting for 39% of the number of vehicles recalled this month; Honda's recall of 94767 vehicles is still deeply affected by Tian airbags; Porsche recalled 57200 vehicles due to gearbox shift problems in third place.
The "unbreakable Toyota" topped the list with the Crown alone, and the recall was due to the possibility of improper installation of rear bumper reinforcements in some vehicles due to failure to comply with the main points in the manufacturing process, which may lead to the lack of rear bumper reinforcements. As the flagship model of the Toyota family, the number of recalls is higher than sales, which is a bit embarrassing, and half a year's sales are not even as high as the monthly sales of the same level of BBA.
Judging from the recall batches, Honda and Mercedes-Benz have each recalled three times, and Honda is still affected by Takata airbags. Takata airbag problems in eight models can actually be attributed to design problems. Mercedes-Benz recalled the vehicle because of the hidden trouble of installing bolts, shock absorbers, tires and so on. If it goes on like this, what will be lost will only be the hearts of consumers.
Porsche, as a first-tier luxury brand, ranks third in the number of recalls, with a variety of reasons for recalls, ranging from safety risks in core systems such as gearboxes, braking systems, steering systems and airbags to failures such as instrument software and air-conditioning systems, and even in vehicle design and production.
There is only one independent brand on the list, which is from SAIC GM Wuling passenger car brand-Baojun. In July, the main reason is the wrong calibration of the engine control module (ECU) software, which may cause abnormal impact on the clutch spring slider of the transmission, and the vehicle power output may be interrupted in extreme cases.
More than 370000 cars were recalled in July, mainly because automakers used substandard airbag gas generators made by Takata. Although Takata of Japan has already declared bankruptcy and was acquired, the aftermath of the incident has not subsided.
