AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/06 Report--

The most authoritative auto agency in the United States has released a ranking of luxury car sales in the United States in July. according to the data, the luxury car market has eased, and sales of most luxury brands have increased year-on-year. Surprisingly, Lexus topped the list of luxury cars in the US market last month with sales of 25025 vehicles, although it fell 1.5 per cent year-on-year.

In second place was Mercedes-Benz's monthly cumulative sales of 24612 vehicles, up 22.9% from a year earlier, while BMW ranked third with 23015 vehicles in July, also up 4.7%.

If we say why Lexus won the championship, it is because Lexus did not appear in the top 10 in this year's overall ranking of the United States, because in this year's ranking of the US market, Lexus, which used to be the most beloved of Americans, unexpectedly got a bad rating. Last year and the year before last, Lexus won the top spot in luxury car sales in the United States in July.

Mr Rex's victory last month was mainly due to strong sales of 9247 RX crossovers last month and light truck sales up 1.9 per cent year-on-year to 17500, while car deliveries fell 8.5 per cent to 7525.

From January to July this year, the top five luxury car brands in the United States were BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Audi and Acura, with the exception of Mercedes-Benz and Audi, the other three brands achieved varying degrees of sales growth.

BMW remains the best-selling luxury car in the US with strong sales of many models, with a total of 179455 vehicles sold from January to July, up 2.3 per cent from a year earlier. among them, X3 crossover sales soared 33% to 5690 in July, X5 demand surged 43% to 3804 compared with the same period last year, and X4 crossover sales increased by 85%. A total of 752 vehicles were sold.

Mercedes-Benz's sales jumped 23 per cent to 24612 in July, the biggest increase among the top five, narrowing its seven-month cumulative sales decline of 172008 to 3.8 per cent. Sales of the brand's crossovers grew strongly, with GLC sales up 25 per cent to 5539 and GLE sales up 19 per cent to 5301.

Audi, which ranks fourth in luxury cars, sold 19370 cars in July, basically the same as the same period last year. Audi's own brand advantage will be further watered down in the long run, with the failure of the Audi A6.

Honda Acura still ranked fifth, with sales of 12759 vehicles in July, down 3.7% from a year earlier; Volvo ranked sixth, with 8795 vehicles sold in July, up 2% from a year earlier; Infiniti ranked seventh, with 8660 vehicles sold in July, down 11.1% from a year earlier; and Land Rover at No. 8, Porsche at No. 9, Mini at No. 10 and Jaguar at No. 11.

With the improvement of car consumption, the advantage of luxury cars is becoming more and more obvious, which is why luxury cars can still grow steadily when the overall market is weak. Looking at luxury car sales in the United States, Lexus has completely replaced Audi, turning "BBA" into "BBL".
