The current Audi A4 uses the MLB platform, and the cost of building cars on the MLB platform is much higher than that on the MQB platform. In addition, the models on the MQB platform are all medium-and low-end models. So if the new Audi A4 is built on the MQB platform, it can really greatly reduce the cost.

After the next generation new car is equipped with the MQB platform, the passenger cabin will be moved back, the distance between the front wheel and the front door will be significantly longer, and the engine will be placed behind the front axle as far as possible to meet the best front and rear mass ratio, at the same time, the visual effect will be close to that of the rear drive.

In people's impression, the MQB is the manufacturing platform for Volkswagen models, after the replacement of the new platform, there will inevitably be a kind of Volkswagen with Audi appearance. If the parts of the new platform and the model of the MQB platform will also be common, then the assembly process may also be reduced, so the quality standard of the vehicle will be lower than that of the MLB platform.
