According to the latest sales information released by JAC Motors, sales in July were 27600, down 27.29% from a year earlier. From January to July, JAC accumulated sales of 262700 vehicles, down 9.46% from a year earlier.

Specific to the type of car, Jianghuai Automobile performance is still optimistic. Especially for passenger cars, car sales fell by 77.49% to 1071, down 77.49% from the same period last year. The sales of dome SUV and MPV fell by more than 40%, to 6691 and 2094 respectively. Among them, pure electric passenger cars plunged 66.5% to 1738 compared with the same period last year. It is worth noting that due to the power in the end market, pure electric passenger cars showed a year-on-year increase of 61.79%, with sales of 40800 vehicles.

From the previous exposure of commercial vehicle emissions fraud incident, invisible to Jianghuai Automobile produced a certain degree of pressure, coupled with the new model Ruifeng S4 SUV market gradually shrinking, passenger car sales decline is also an unexpected thing.

However, judging from the development trend in the first half of the year, Jianghuai Automobile will still focus on new energy vehicles and seek a breakthrough in sales.

Jianghuai started the electric vehicle research and development project in 2007, and officially announced its entry into new energy vehicles in 2010. At present, Jianghuai New Energy and the formation of A00, A0, A to B product matrix, with IEVA50, IEV4, IEV6E, IEV7, IEV7S a number of new energy models.

At the same time, according to Jianghuai, through years of research and development and investment, we have mastered the three core technologies of battery grouping, motor and electronic control of electric vehicles, as well as key technologies such as energy recovery and remote monitoring.

But even so, compared with the development of BAIC new energy and BYD new energy in this field, the development of Jianghuai new energy is still slightly inadequate. In terms of pure electric technology platform, Jianghuai still can not come up with a reliable solution, while BAIC New Energy, as a latecomer, has launched a pure electric platform under development of GEP and created a new series of Aion models. What's more, with the decline of new energy subsidies, the profits of Jianghuai new energy have decreased significantly.

Throughout the development of Jianghuai Automobile in recent years, we can see its determination to the new energy industry, but it has not had a very good development.

As early as 2017, Jianghuai signed a joint venture agreement with Volkswagen to jointly develop new energy vehicles. However, two years later, JAC Volkswagen's mass production plan is still out of date.

Under the influence of the counterfeiting storm, Jianghuai Automobile is facing the pressure of declining overall sales, and the new energy business, which is given high hopes by Jianghuai Automobile, has to seek a new way out.
