BYD vice president receives supervision letter: spouse illegally buys shares of the company

On February 4, Wang Chuanfang, vice president of BYD, received a supervision letter from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange because his spouse Zhang Juxiu illegally bought BYD shares.

I learned from the regulatory letter that BYD made an appointment to disclose the 2018 annual report on March 28, 2019, but Wang Chuanfang's spouse Zhang Juxiu bought 50, 000 BYD shares at an average transaction price of 53.69 yuan per share in the 30 days prior to this. the amount involved was 2.6845 million yuan. On March 5, BYD rose 0.75% to 54.08 yuan per share, and Zhang Juxiu is expected to float 19500 yuan.

Wang Chuanfang, the elder brother of Wang Chuanfu, the actual controller and chairman of BYD, joined BYD in August 1996 and served as manager of personnel department and logistics department. He is now general manager of BYD logistics department and general manager of track engineering department. On January 3, 2017, the board of directors approved the new Wang Chuanfang as vice president of the company. Data show that Wang Chuanfang holds 8824680 A shares of BYD.

After BYD released its 2018 results, KuaiBao, the company's total revenue in 2018 was 130.06 billion, up 22.79% from the same period last year; the net profit attributed to the company's shareholders was 2.79 billion, down 31.37% from the same period last year. The official annual report, which contains details of financial position, operation, management, distribution plan and so on, will be disclosed by BYD on March 28.

In terms of sales, BYD sold a total of 520000 vehicles in 2018, up 25% from the same period last year, of which 248000 new energy vehicles were sold, up 118% from the same period last year, while fuel vehicles sold 273000 vehicles for the whole year, a far cry from the expected 400000. In 2019, the number of BYD terminals delivered in January was close to 60, 000, an increase of 77% over the same period last year. Among them, the sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded that of fuel vehicles, with sales reaching 32000, an increase of 342%.
