On August 8, the US market research agency J.D.Power released the 2019 New car quality Survey report. The report shows that 52 of the 67 brands surveyed performed better than last year. Compared with other national brands, the overall new car quality of Chinese brands has improved greatly, and the ranking has also been greatly improved.

The New car quality Survey report 2019 mainly investigates the new car quality problems encountered by car owners within 2 to 6 months of car purchase, and expresses the new car quality score in terms of the average number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). The lower the score, the less the vehicle problems, the better the quality.

According to the report, the industry's average new car quality score this year was 95 PP100, down from 105 PP100 last year, an increase of 10 per cent. Although the number of problems of self-owned brands is the highest among all national brands, the number of problems has dropped from 115PP100 last year to 101PP100 this year, an increase of 12%, which is a huge improvement compared with itself.

In the mainstream car market, Dongfeng Yueda Kia and Beijing Hyundai changed people's perception of the unreliability of Korean cars, ranking first and third with 83 PP100 and 89 PP100 respectively, while MINI ranked second with 86 PP100.

It is worth noting that in this quality study, Chery's performance is very outstanding, its ranking has risen 26 places compared with last year, and is on the same level as many joint venture brands. Chery New Energy also rose to third place, second only to Ulai and BMW. In the market segment, Chery is even more brilliant, its Ruihu 3X and Ruihu 3 swept the top two of the small SUV list, and the new energy model small ant eQ1 occupies the top position in the small electric car market.
