According to the official July sales figures released today, ES6 sold 1502 vehicles in July, including 1066 for ES6 and 436 for ES8, up 11.3 per cent from the same period last year.

According to the data released by the Federation of Carriage, among the new forces in car building, Xiaopeng, Weimar and Ulay were in the top three in the first half of this year, with sales of 9596, 8747 and 7481 respectively. From this, it is not difficult to see that the top three car companies have sold more than 10,000 cars in half a year.

Only 4544 cars were sold in the first half of 2018, accounting for only 1.3 per cent of all new energy vehicles, according to the Federation. Among them, Yundu and electric coffee cars occupy the main share of the market, unable to sell 2261 and 1953 cars respectively.

In the first half of 2019, the market share of new energy vehicles in the new power of car building was close to 9%. With the mass production period of NIO, Weimar, Xiaopeng, Hezhong, Zero run, Suida, etc., the market share gradually changed to NIO, Weimar, Xiaopeng and so on. By contrast, Yundu and Electric Cafe, which performed better last year, have sold only 100 cars this year.

Although the new car-building forces have made some achievements in sales, the sales volume of the new car-building forces in half a year is still worrying, especially compared with traditional automobile companies, there is a wide gap. In the first half of this year, BYD sold 160000 new energy vehicles, up 73.17% from the same period last year, while BAIC New Energy sold 78000 vehicles in the first half of this year, up 28% from the same period last year.

It is worth noting that after the decline of new energy subsidies, it has also dealt a heavy blow to car companies. In July, BYD sold 17000 vehicles, down 11.8 per cent from a year earlier, its first year-on-year decline this year, while Jianghuai New Energy sales plunged 66.5 per cent to 1738 vehicles in July.

In view of the current situation, the China Automobile Association recently lowered its sales forecast for new energy vehicles this year from 1.6 million to 1.5 million. Industry insiders said that although the development of new energy has been for some time, the real system is not yet mature, and the problem of capital chain has become the most urgent difficulty for the new forces of car building.
