According to NIO officials, NIO delivered 1502 new cars in July 2019, up from 1340 in June and 1089 in May, and 1331 in the same period last year. An increase of 11.3% over the same period last year. Cumulative sales from January to July reached 7481 vehicles. A total of 3553 new cars were delivered in the second quarter, exceeding the company's previous quarterly expectations of 2800-3200.

The ES6 began to be delivered to users on June 18, 2019, and now it has sold 1066 units for the first time in a single month, even exceeding the ES8 sales of 436.

In the first half of this year, Xilai delivered a total of 7542 vehicles (including 3989 in the first quarter and 3553 in the second quarter), but it is a far cry from NIO's sales target of 40, 000-50, 000 in 2019.

According to the data released by the Federation of passengers, the new power of car-building sold only 4544 vehicles in the first half of 2018, accounting for only 1.3 per cent of the total new energy vehicles. Among them, Yundu and electric coffee cars occupy the main market share, with sales reaching 2261 and 1953 respectively in half a year.

In the first half of this year, the sales of new power car companies gradually approached the pure electric share of 9%. Although some progress has been made, the report card of the new car-building power that has sold no more than 10,000 in half a year is also sad, especially in comparison with traditional car companies.

According to the sales data of the top three car-building forces, Xiaopeng sold 9596 cars in the first half of this year, ranking first among the new car-building enterprises, followed by Weimar, which sold 8747, and Lulai, which ranked third with 7481. In addition to Weimar, Xiaopeng and NIO, the delivery volume of other new forces in the first half of this year is generally less than 1,000 vehicles. The total delivery volume of the top 10 new forces is only 30062, accounting for less than 5 per cent of the market.

It is worth noting that the lethality of the decline of new energy subsidies in June has also begun to highlight gradually. Sales of new energy vehicles showed negative growth for the first time in July, according to the Federation of passengers. In July, BYD sold 17000 vehicles, down 11.8% from a year earlier, its first year-on-year decline this year.

However, with the end of the transitional period of subsidies, the two models in sale in Xilai have seen varying degrees of "price increases" since July 1. Take ES8 as an example, individual users who buy the 70kWh version can only get a state subsidy of 11520 yuan, which is 28980 yuan less than before.

NIO, which continues to lose money, is the topic of the new forces of car-building. Under the influence of spontaneous combustion and recall in the first half of the year, news of substantial layoffs was revealed later. Recently, the news about the sale of shares in Formula Electric team racing has aroused heated public discussion.

In addition, Xilai is positioned as a medium-sized sedan ET7, which officials say will be put into mass production in the second half of this year. Just a few days ago, it was learned from relevant sources that Qin Lihong, co-founder of Lulai Automobile, revealed that the listing time of Lulai ET will be postponed.

Under the influence of multiple ignorance, from the offering price of $6.26 listed in September last year, it has fallen to $2.95 recently, and the overall offer price has fallen by nearly 53%. The revenue in the first quarter was 1.63 billion yuan and the net loss was 2.62 billion yuan. Therefore, there are still great challenges in the second half of the year.
