Therefore, in this case, Dongfeng Honda filed a recall with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. According to the recall notice, the recalled models are mainly equipped with a 1.5T engine of the L15B series, which is the same as the Accord fuel version.

As for the reason, it is also the same as the reason why Guangzhou Automobile Honda recalled Accord, mainly because of the engine design, which causes a small amount of condensed water to gather at the exit of the intercooler when the vehicle is driving in high temperature, high rain and other environments. in this case, during rapid acceleration, condensed water droplets are sucked into the combustion chamber, resulting in engine misfire, which in extreme cases may make the engine enter protection mode. As a result, the acceleration of the vehicle is limited while driving, and there are hidden dangers in safety.

Honda INSPIRE as a Dongfeng Honda and Accord of the target model, Honda INSPIRE since the launch, on the whole has achieved good results. However, compared with the initial expectations of the market, as well as the comparison with Accord, the overall performance of this car is not very satisfactory.

According to relevant survey data, Honda sold a total of 23500 INSPIRE vehicles in the first half of this year, with an average monthly sales of less than 4000 vehicles. Judging from the data, Honda INSPIRE as a solicitation car, sales are not very bad.

However, due to the stall incident of Accord driving at high speed on a rainy day, it was revealed that there was a design defect in the 1.5T generator, which once again attracted so much attention that Accord was recalled more than 220000 vehicles. Honda INSPIRE, which carries the same parts, recalled 29000 vehicles, which is equivalent to all its sales since its launch.

As a result, it has caused a blow to the Honda INSPIRE, which is not a good seller.
