For many car-making enterprises, qualification is like a pass, holding double-qualified car enterprises, but also let opponents envy envy hate.
As of June this year, a total of 12 automobile enterprises have obtained "double qualifications", including such background car-making "veterans" as Beiqi New Energy, Chery New Energy and Jiangling New Energy, as well as such car-making "recruits" as Changjiang Automobile, Yundu New Energy, Hezhong Automobile, Future Automobile, Zhidou, Guoneng New Energy, Jinkang New Energy, Guojin Automobile and Suda Electric.
Although they have dual qualifications, the road to building cars of these automobile enterprises is very different. Some sell hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually, and some new cars are on the verge of bankruptcy before mass production.
In general, among the automobile enterprises that have obtained "double qualifications", the new energy automobile projects of traditional automobile enterprises are progressing smoothly, whether it is the time to obtain qualifications or the sales of products on the market, and they are far ahead in sales volume.
Among the enterprises with double qualifications, BAIC New Energy, Chery New Energy and Jiangling New Energy are brand-new subsidiaries invested and established by the affiliated group for the layout of new energy industry. In the first half of this year, Beiqi New Energy sold about 66,000 vehicles; Chery New Energy sold about 27,000 vehicles; Jiangling New Energy sold about 11,000 vehicles. On the contrary, the sales volume of the new force of head-building cars is still less than 10,000 vehicles.
Industry analysis believes that in addition to capital, traditional automobile enterprises can give support to these new energy projects in all aspects such as technology and supply chain, and the brand of traditional automobile enterprises can make it easier for consumers to recognize them.
Zhidou Automobile has well verified the importance of traditional automobile enterprises to new energy automobile projects. In 2016, Zhidou Automobile went to the golden age under the control of Jiji Automobile. After Jiji Automobile insisted on Zhidou's shares, Zhidou began to decline and sales declined sharply.
According to the data, 15,300 vehicles were sold in 2018, down 63.9% year-on-year, still far from the target of 80,000 vehicles sold annually. In the first half of 2019, the cumulative sales volume of Zhidou was only 2005 vehicles, and the sales volume only came from D2 models, and D1 and D3 were no longer found.
At present, Yundu New Energy, Future Automobile and Hezhong Automobile, which are relatively advanced in progress, have been sold in mass production, but compared with traditional automobile enterprises and new energy, the gap is still very large. According to the sales data of 2018, the sales volume of Yundu New Energy is 7000, the sales volume of Hezhong Automobile is 1100, and the sales volume of high-end sports car in the future is only 59.
On June 27, Suda Electric announced that the first model SA01 was officially launched on the market, and after Guoneng New Energy was acquired by Evergrande, it also announced the mass production of the first model Guoneng 93 at the end of June. However, at present, there is no sales data released for both Suda SA01 and Guoneng 93.
As a subsidiary of the well-off shares, Jinkang New Energy will launch its first model SF5 in the third quarter of this year, and this model has entered the 6th batch of new energy vehicles recommended catalogue in 2019. It is understood that the car is positioned as an electric coupe SUV, pre-sale price 278,000 - 458,000.
Different from the above-mentioned automobile enterprises, Changjiang Automobile fell into the storm of salary arrears and production suspension. Some employees of Changjiang Automobile said that the company had not paid wages for four months, and the office employees and workshop workers all had different situations of salary arrears.
The above-mentioned automobile enterprises are only the epitome of some new energy automobile enterprises in China. It is understood that more than 200 enterprises are waiting for the approval of new energy automobile production qualification at present, and the National Development and Reform Commission suspended the examination as early as May 2017.
Of course, since December last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Product Access Management Measures" to legalize the contract manufacturing mode, even if there is no qualified automobile enterprises can also realize the construction of vehicles through contract manufacturing. For example, Great Wall Motor is a zero-run automobile OEM, which becomes a typical case of mutual OEM production among new forces of automobile building.
However, even if he obtained the "double aptitude", he might not be able to rest easy. Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Automobile, said bluntly that some cars have no ability to build cars after obtaining production qualification, but use qualification to seek investment, while those enterprises that have the ability and want to produce new energy vehicles cannot obtain production qualification, qualification is only a stepping stone for financing of some enterprises.
