Geely's total sales in February were 83552, down 24% from a year earlier, including 6196 new energy models in the same month. Geely's total sales in the first two months of this year were 241945, down 9% from a year earlier, reaching 16% of its annual sales target of 1.51 million in 2019. The Lecker brand sold a total of 7276 vehicles in February.

In terms of specific models, the new Dihao and Vision sold 16292 and 4052 vehicles respectively in February, while the Dihao GL sold 6203 vehicles; the SUV model Boyue and Dihao GS sold 15013 and 7722 vehicles respectively, and the Vision SUV sold 5249 vehicles per month; and the two new models on the market, Visionary Rui and colorful Yue, sold 6022 and 8102 vehicles, respectively.

In addition, 6196 new energy vehicles were sold in the month, with Dihao EV Borey GE PHEV and Burry GE gas-electric hybrid sales accounting for about 80 per cent of Geely's total new energy vehicle sales.

The Lecker brand did not perform well in February, with a total sales of only 7276 of the three models, compared with 3237, 1686 and 2353 respectively.

As for the decline in sales, Geely explained that more working days in February were affected by the off-season after the Lunar New year due to the early Chinese New year holiday this year.

In terms of new products, new cars such as Geely Jiaji MPV and Xingyue Sports SUV will be on the market, while Lecker has launched a number of new energy vehicles. With the implementation of the sixth national emission standard, Geely will also popularize its three-cylinder engine, and the new Boyue will also adopt the new 1.5T in-line three-cylinder engine new powertrain.
