It is understood that a total of 37945 new cars were sold worldwide in July, an increase of 5.0 per cent over the same period last year. Among them, China led the world in terms of growth, with sales up 40.3 per cent in July from a year earlier, 8.8 per cent in the UK, 2.1 per cent in North America and 0.3 per cent in the rest of Europe.

Compared with the performance of its two major brands, Jaguar sold 11386 vehicles worldwide, up 3.6 per cent from a year earlier, while Land Rover sold 26559 vehicles, up 5.6 per cent from a year earlier. In terms of specific model performance, with the launch of a new generation of range Rover aurora in various regional markets, its sales in July also increased by 64.1% compared with the same period last year; the monthly sales of Land Rover increased by 12.4% compared with the same period last year. Land Rover found that sales of the Shenxing series fell by 12.7%. Pan Qing, global director of Jaguar Land Rover, said: "in July, Jaguar Land Rover exceeded its monthly targets in China, increasing sales by 40 per cent year-on-year while improving sales quality and continuously optimizing dealer inventory."

Affected by macroeconomic, tariff adjustment and other reasons, the growth rate of the luxury brand market has slowed, especially on the high-end brand models of luxury brands. Porsche's sales in China showed a negative growth of 7% from January to June. Jaguar and Land Rover, which are the same high-end luxury brands as Porsche, sold 3159 and 7111 vehicles respectively in July, which should be said to be a good performance. At the same time, Jaguar Land Rover greatly reduced the number of wholesale sales to dealers in July in order to reduce the inventory of 4S stores and improve the overall profitability of dealers.

After Jaguar Land Rover recently launched a new generation of range Rover Aurora in the Chinese market, Jaguar Land Rover will launch three new models, namely, the new Jaguar XEL, the new generation Land Rover Discovery Shenxing and the Guardian, in the second half of the year to April next year, in order to speed up the updated models to compete for market share.
