AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/14 Report--

In August 2018, the first pure electric sports car-K50 was officially launched in China, with a price of 754,300 yuan. It is also one of the most expensive cars among China's independent brands at present.

Start-up brand, niche positioning, extremely high price of a Chinese brand electric car, what is its target consumer? Maybe no one can say. However, from the sales point of view, it can basically predict its fate.

In the first half of 2019, the future K50 accumulated only 72 licenses, and since its listing in August last year, the total number of licenses has been 131.

It is reported that due to internal management and marketing problems, in May this year, Future Automobile appointed Liu Yunliang, former General Manager of West District of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd. and Executive Vice President of Sales of Jaguar Land Rover China and Chery Jaguar Land Rover Joint Marketing and Service Organization (IMSS). The latter served as General Manager of Future Automobile Sales Company and began to adjust the marketing system structure. The significance may lie in restructuring market sales and marketing, saving the depressed sales volume of K50, and preparing for the launch of the two-door two-seater electric vehicle K20 and subsequent products at the end of the year.

Lu Qun, founder and chairman of Future Auto, once said,"Future should be able to enter the income cycle relatively quickly, and will also enter the profit period relatively early."

However, nearly a year after the launch of the K50, only 131 units were sold in the market, certainly far less than expected. The annual production capacity of the factory built by itself in Suzhou is planned to be 50,000 vehicles in the future, which is really embarrassing compared with the sales figures.

It is reported that if the investment in research and development costs is not calculated, in the case of the K50, due to its production process and zero inventory strategy, the annual sales volume of several hundred vehicles can evenly spread the production cost of this model.

Future Automobile was founded in February 2015. It took three years to build the first production car Future K50, which was officially launched in August 2018 at a price of 754,300 yuan. Future K50 positioning pure electric two-door two-seater sports car, officially declared "China pure electric city sports car". Its body is made of aluminum alloy frame and carbon fiber material. At the same time, its front and rear double motors have a combined maximum power of 435 horsepower, an official acceleration time of 4.6 seconds from 0-100km/h, a top speed of 200 km/h and a comprehensive range of 380km.

With the rapid development of China's new energy automobile industry, many new car-building enterprises have emerged. Up to now, only a small part of them have left the PPT stage and completed mass production and listing. With the cold market, the sales volume of new energy vehicles deviates from the high growth rate, which is likely to lead to the collapse of a number of new car-making forces.

Whether the future car has a "future" depends on whether the follow-up products give strength.
