According to traffic insurance data, in July 2019, the total sales of new forces in China reached only 2375 vehicles, a sharp drop of 76 per cent from the previous month. The three giants of car-building new power, Ulai, Xiaopeng and Weimar, sold a total of 2133 vehicles in July, accounting for 90% of the total new power.

In addition, the new energy passenger car market also put on the brakes in July this year, which is also the first decline in the new energy passenger car market since 2017. New energy passenger car sales ranked 68800 in July, down 3 per cent from a year earlier and 48 per cent from June, according to the Federation of passengers.

In terms of bicycle sales, Weimar EX5 sales fell by 71% month-on-month in July, Xiaopeng G3 sales fell by 76% month-on-month, EX8 sales fell by 89%, and N01 was the most serious, with a decline of 99%.

In July, Xiaopeng G3 continued to top the list with sales of 720 vehicles, while cumulative sales from January to July this year reached 11111.

Although Xiaopeng car has been in a hubbub because of some rights protection incidents, but this really can not resist the relatively high performance-price strength of Xiaopeng G3, and has made a great improvement in terms of service life and configuration. Hundreds of orders have been collected since the new G3 was released online in a week.

It was closely followed by the ES6, which quickly rose to second place with sales of 659 vehicles a month and has replaced the ES8 (ranked fourth with 153s) as the highest-selling model in the company. From January to July this year, Xilai sold a total of 8983 vehicles.

For the ES6, the company still has high expectations, and officials say it is expected to sell 60, 000 vehicles a year and take on the task of carrying out the volume. Facts have proved that the ES6 is indeed more competitive than the ES8. In the first full month of delivery, sales exceeded the ES8.

Affected by a number of spontaneous combustion incidents and related recalls, sales of Lulai ES8 began to decline in April 2019 and fell to triple digits in June.

Weimar EX5 ranked third, with cumulative sales of 601 vehicles in July and 8551 from January to July. However, in the first half of this year, Weima unexpectedly broke through the tight encirclement and won the championship of the upper limit in the first half of this year.

In the early stage, Weima Automobile invested a lot of money in the construction of the factory, so the production came to market relatively late. In terms of heat, Weimar is obviously less than Lai and Xiaopeng, and its consumer group is also relatively smaller, but from the current sales volume, the influence of Weima in the new power is not small.

As for other new power models, the sales volume is no more than 100. Only the Sintet DEV1 was the same as last month, while other models showed a sharp decline.

Generally speaking, the volume of the new power of car building is still small, and its development performance appears to be stable but somewhat declining. The most important point is also troubled by quality and technology. In the past few months, NIO has been deeply affected by public opinion due to many incidents of spontaneous combustion, and just recently, Yundu Motor has also had a case of spontaneous combustion.

After the national five-year clearance in the first half of 2019, it is normal to subsidize the decline in sales in July. The new power of car-building still ushered in many crises in the second half of 2019, due to the reduction of state subsidies, thus reducing the degree of purchase of consumers; traditional manufacturers attach importance to the pure electric vehicle market, as well as Tesla's domestic, and so on, will make its competition intensified.
