AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/07 Report--
Since Nissan announced that the leaf went public in December 2010, its total sales have successfully exceeded 400000, making the leaf the first pure electric vehicle in the world with total sales exceeding 400000. Nissan says all of them have been sold. Leaf has traveled more than 10 billion kilometers worldwide, saving 3.8 million barrels of oil a year.
When Nissan launched the first-generation Leaf, the company made it clear that it wanted to be a global leader in the production and promotion of pure electric cars. Therefore, from December 2010 to 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019, the total sales of different versions of the leaf reached 100000, 200000, 300000 and 400000 respectively. Nissan estimates that all leaf models that have been sold and on the road can save about 3.8 million barrels of oil a year compared with fuel-powered cars.
Looking back at the current global sales of pure electric vehicles, BAIC EC sold a total of 92000 electric vehicles in 2018, while Tesla sold 140000 Model 3 in 2018, and will its sales increase significantly when the classic Model 3 is launched? Will these high-selling electric cars pose a threat to Nissan's pure electric vehicles? Nissan said that the more competition, the more proof that the leaf is the wise choice, and the future Nissan pure electric cars will be better and better.
