There are also three dealers in Tianjin, and only one dealer answered the phone and said that at present, FAW Jilin vehicles are no longer being sold and other vehicles are being sold instead.

It is understood that FAW Jilin launched the first small SUV Senya R7 in May 2016. it sold well as soon as it was launched, and achieved nearly 50, 000 sales at the end of the year.

After a brilliant record, the Senya R7 has fallen to a low point since 2019, with sales of 2400 vehicles in the first half of this year, 900 in January and 41 in June, down 79 per cent from a month earlier.

To reverse the situation, FAW Jilin announced the launch of Senya R8 in January 2019 and its listing in the first half of the year. FAW Jilin news shows that on March 28, 2019, FAW Jilin officially announced that FAW Jilin Green Intelligent Factory was officially launched. And its prominent position on the official website shows that the 400th new car Senya R8 of the Senya brand has officially gone offline.

It is understood that Senya R8 is based on the R7 model, the interior configuration has been upgraded, but the core has not changed. There is only a slight change compared to R7. In terms of power, two 1.6L/1.5T engines are provided with maximum power of 116hp and 150hp respectively, matched with the 5MT or 6-speed AT gearbox, which is exactly the same as the Senya R7. Therefore, it can be regarded as a small modified model of Senya R7, which can not compete directly with Baojun 510, Chuanqi GS3 and other models.

However, R8 is still not on the market, and dealers everywhere have no idea about the arrival of R8.

According to internal workers, most of the production lines of FAW Jilin are idle, the passenger car production line has long been out of operation, and workers are just going to work.

Senya is a model produced by Dafa Automobile and FAW Group in FAW Jilin.

In the last century, FAW Senya was produced by Dafa Automobile Co., Ltd. in cooperation with China first Automobile Group Co., Ltd. in a technically licensed way in FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd. After a major adjustment, FAW Group brought the Pentium brand of FAW car, the Senya brand of FAW Jilin and the Junpai brand of Tianjin FAW into the newly established Pentium business headquarters, and Senya also won an English brand name "SENIA".

Some analysts believe that one of the purposes of setting up the business department may be to put all brands in the sun, which is good or bad at a glance, and the brands with development prospects are not known after this adjustment. And FAW Jilin may become the "abandoned son" of FAW because of poor sales.

According to recent media reports, a recent internal meeting of FAW Group revealed the future three-year "Dragon Teng Action" for Red Flag, Pentium and Liberation of the three independent brands. In the next three years, FAW Group will give Hongqi 400 million yuan in brand support and 2.4 billion yuan in research and development each year, with a total of 2.4 billion yuan, striving to achieve the sales target of 400000 and the profit margin of 6% in three years.

In addition, for the Pentium brand, FAW Group will support 500 million yuan and 3 depression per year in brand and R & D, respectively, totaling 2.4 billion yuan in three years, and strive to reach the sales target of 1 million in three years. FAW Group will support 200 million yuan in research and development, a total of 600 million yuan, and strive to achieve the goal of 500000 sales and profit margin in three years.

However, FAW Jilin, which is also an independent brand of FAW Group, did not appear in "Longteng Action". In recent years, the market performance of FAW Jilin is not good, and it is expected that it is not taken seriously by FAW Group.

Now FAW Jilin has to increase its capital and shares to save itself. At present, there is news that FAW Jilin is in contact with Baoya New Energy, and has set up a mixed reform group, FAW Jilin did not comment.
