AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/22 Report--
In the current downward environment of the auto market, due to the switching of the sixth year of the State and the decline of new energy subsidies, the auto market went down again in July. According to data, a total of 482300 A-class cars were sold in July, down 4.85 per cent from a year earlier.
In terms of sales in the top 10, Volkswagen made the list in July with three models: Lang Yi, Bora, Santana and Suiteng; Japanese cars also had four models on the list: Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Nissan Xuanyi and Toyota Liling; and the other two were American brands, Chevrolet Cruze and Buick Yinglang.
In terms of specific models, Volkswagen Longyi won the championship with strong strength, selling 36900 vehicles in July, an increase of 10.26% year-on-year and 7.55% month-on-month. A total of 287000 cars were sold from January to July this year; on August 23, Volkswagen Longyi Pure Electric will officially go on sale, with a pre-price of 158900 yuan for the premium version of the new car and 278km comprehensive mileage for NEDC. However, the new car's mileage of less than 300 kilometers has been questioned. As the overlord of the A-class car market, whether Lang Yi can continue to be strong in the pure electricity market will become an important factor to determine its future competitiveness.
Volkswagen Santana also had an outstanding performance in July, with sales of 25400 vehicles in July, a year-on-year increase of 226.66% and a month-on-month increase of 32.85%, rising to fourth on the list. Santana's outbreak benefited from the continuation of the new and discount range on the national 6 models. SAIC-Volkswagen 4S store staff said that all the Santana models are currently on sale, and consumers who had been in a wait-and-see state began to sell.
Volkswagen's models perform well. Bora sold a total of 26700 vehicles in July, up 47.51 from a year earlier and 0.23 per cent month-on-month, taking the runner-up seat. Suiteng sold 22200 vehicles in July, up 28.1% from the previous month.
By contrast, Japanese brands appear to be a bit powerless, with both Carola and Xuanyi declining in July. The Corolla sold 26000 vehicles in July, down 26.4 per cent from a year earlier, taking third place, while Xuanyi sold 25000 vehicles in July, down more than 20 per cent from a month earlier and down more than 20 per cent from a year earlier, ranking sixth on the list.
The difference is that Civic and Leiling both performed well in July, with sales of 25200 vehicles worth 22800 respectively, up more than 30 per cent from a year earlier, ranking fifth and seventh on the list.
In terms of American brands, Coruze sold 15600 vehicles in July, down 12.56% from the previous month, ranking ninth on the list. Yinglang sold 15000 vehicles, taking 10th place on the list.
It is worth noting that none of the independent brands were in the top 10 in July. Among them, Geely Dihao sold 14000 vehicles in July, down 29.69% from the same period last year.
Independent brand new energy models showed a marked decline in July after the outbreak in June. Among them, BAIC New Energy EU series, which entered the top 10 in June, sold only 8900 vehicles in July, down 50.12% from the same period last year. Dihao New Energy, Yitou New Energy and BYD E5 sales returned to triple digits again, down more than 80% from the same period last year.
Xu Haidong, assistant secretary general of the China Automobile Association, said that the end of June this year was the deadline for the transition period for the decline of new energy subsidies, and many manufacturers released part of their sales before, which caused a certain overdraft on the market in July. The decline is still going on.
