As a result, from the report by the masses in March 2018 to the publication of the judgment of the first instance, the bribery case of Fu Shoujie has finally been settled.

The judgment showed that from 2006 to 2017, Fu Shoujie illegally accepted bribes totaling 10.72 million yuan when he served as executive deputy general manager, chairman of Honda, director of GAC-Mitsubishi, executive deputy general manager, and chairman of Guangzhou Wanli Group. at first instance, he was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison, fined 2 million yuan and his illegal gains recovered 10.72 million yuan.

According to public data, Fu Shoujie first entered the automobile industry in 2002 and once served as party committee secretary and general manager of Shenyang Songliao Automobile Co., Ltd.

In July 2004, Fu Shoujie joined GAC as an assistant to the general manager of GAC GROUP. Since then, he has served as Deputy General Manager and Chairman of Guangzhou Automobile Honda, and was promoted to Deputy General Manager GAC GROUP in 2013. In August 2013, Fu Shoujie was transferred to chairman of Guangzhou Wanli Group until 2018.

From the details of the decision, it was found that Fu Shoujie had a total of five bribery records, four of which occurred during his tenure as executive deputy general manager of Guangzhou Automobile Honda, which may be related to the authority of his position at that time.

It is reported that Fu Shoujie became the executive deputy general manager of GAC Honda, a Sino-Japanese joint venture company, in January 2006. In the position system of GAC Honda, the general manager is the Japanese side, and the Chinese side is the executive deputy general manager. Both have equal powers and responsibilities, and both have the authority of overall operation and management, so Fu Shoujie's position is equivalent to that of the Chinese general manager. It can also be regarded as the "number one" of GAC Honda.

In 2006, Guangzhou Auto Honda, which has been in China for eight years, increased its production capacity from 10, 000 vehicles to 240000 vehicles, sold more than 200000 vehicles that year, and pioneered the introduction of the 4S store model in China. In this regard, due to outstanding achievements, in June 2008, Fu Shoujie became chairman of Guangzhou Auto Honda and had the power of examination and approval in terms of project acceptance and dealer channel access. At the same time, he made use of his position and rights to get money.

Between 2006 and 2008, Fu Shoujie approved several dealers of Qingdao Furi Automobile Group and Hebei Giant Automobile Trade to become special dealers of Guangzhou Automobile Honda, and accepted bribes from the chairmen of the two companies, Zeng Xianbo and Pang Qinghua. They are four watches worth 678000 yuan, shopping cards worth 1 million yuan and 800000 yuan in cash.

From 2006 to 2017, Fu Moujie provided assistance and support to Sun, former president of the Ring Road Branch of Guangzhou China Merchants Bank, in soliciting banking business. In 2017, the defendant Fu Moujie accepted a Lexus car worth 245200 yuan from Sun.

The judgment documents show that after being brought to justice, Fu Moujie and his family withdrew all stolen money and stolen goods.

Fu Shoujie is also the third senior executive to be ousted because of corruption in less than two years after former GAC deputy general manager ou Yongjian and vice chairman Lu Zhifeng at the end of 2017.

A series of corruption incidents have also humiliated GAC, which aims to become a world-class car company, especially in the face of poor performance.

KuaiBao, the sales volume released by GAC GROUP recently, showed that the cumulative sales of passenger cars from January to July this year were 1156007, down 2.27% from the same period last year. Of these, GAC MOTOR's sales were 214000, down more than 30 per cent from a year earlier.

It was mainly thanks to the help of joint ventures such as Guangzhou Auto Toyota and Guangzhou Auto Honda that GAC GROUP slightly stopped the decline at the group level, while it was GAC Honda, a joint venture, that made money.
