According to domestic media reports, GAC MOTOR's new generation Chuanqi GA6 officially went on sale in Chengdu tonight. The new car uses a new appearance / interior design and has a significant upgrade in terms of technology configuration. The new car has launched a total of 6 models with a price range of 10.88-168800 yuan. Equipped with Chuanqi's new 1.5T engine and Ericsson 6AT gearbox, the high-end model also has a double 12.3in LCD screen and L2 self-driving ability.

The front face uses Chuanqi family styling design language, the multi-layer horizontal spoke chrome plating net has an advanced sense, and the high-end model uses matrix LED headlamps. From the side, the car does not use a slip-back design, and passengers in the back seat are expected to have more comfortable head space.

In the rear part of the car, the interior of the LED taillights of the new GA6 has a good visual effect, while the new car uses two bilateral hidden exhaust. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4891/1850/1505mm and the wheelbase is 2815mm, which surpasses the current model in an all-round way.

In terms of interior decoration, the new GA6 interior offers beige and black colors. The center console uses the popular dual-screen design, with 12.3-inch full LCD dashboard + 12.3-inch central touch screen for high-end models and 7-inch LCD dashboards + 8-inch central touch screens for low-end models.

In terms of power, the new GA6 is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 124kW and a peak torque of 265Nm; the transmission system only matches a five-gear manual transmission, while other models are equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox with a fuel consumption of 6.3L per hundred kilometers.

Since the beginning of this year, GAC MOTOR's sales have shown a downward trend, selling 26596 new cars in July, down 35.06 per cent from the same period last year and 39.72 per cent from the previous month, while GAC MOTOR sold 213543 vehicles from January to July this year, meeting only 35 per cent of the 600000 sales target. The decline in sales is directly related to the products. The former models were not upgraded in time, and they are a little behind in the current competitive market environment.

After the launch of the new GAC MOTOR GA6, Toyota Camry 2.0 and the newly revamped Borey GE are expected to be its main competitors. However, choosing the Camry at the same price means that you can only choose the entry-level model, which is far less rich than the GA6.
