On the evening of August 25, a poster suddenly appeared on Weibo, causing heated discussion among netizens.

The poster was marked with the words "HarmonyOS" LOGO echoing "Welcome Hongmeng", and a "Boyue Pro" was placed in the middle of the poster. However, neither Geely nor Huawei responded to the authenticity of the poster. Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei consumer business, revealed in an interview that the Hongmeng system, which has been developed by 4000 to 5000 people, has been tested on Huawei's mobile phones and was scheduled to be released next year, while the US ban accelerated the release process of the self-developed Hongmeng OS.

It is understood that Hongmeng system is a panoramic distributed OS system based on micro-kernel, which has the advantages of distributed architecture, fluency, kernel security and ecological sharing, and makes it clear that Hongmeng will be the first to be used in cars, machines and other fields in the next three years.

If the poster is confirmed, it means that Geely will cooperate with Huawei, while Geely's cooperation with Hongmeng OS may be divided into two forms:

First, Geely Boyue Pro and more Geely models build Hongmeng system.

Second, Geely New car's car-machine system interface is open to Hongmeng OS, the two can interact to some extent, such as supporting video / voice calls, remote operation and so on.

At present, most of the car-machine interconnection systems on the market are based on Android customization. Geely also has its own intelligent car system, which is the GKUI interconnection system. The system is customized by Yigatong Technology, which is strategically invested by Geely Holdings, and can achieve basic functions such as navigation, music and voice control, while Boyue PRO has decided to carry a new version of the system codenamed GKUI 19.

Earlier, Xu Zhijun, vice chairman of Huawei, stressed that "Huawei does not build cars" when introducing automobile digital solutions at the Shanghai auto show, but not building cars does not mean that it is not involved in the auto industry, saying that it will focus its business on the ICT field and publish the interconnection of human-car-home scenarios.

At present, Huawei is actively promoting the research and development of autopilot technology, and won Class A surveying and mapping qualification in July 2019, because high-precision maps are one of the pillars of autopilot. Huawei is a global leader in 5G technology, which is the basis for the realization of car networking and a prerequisite for the landing of self-driving cars. At present, Huawei has established cooperative relations with domestic and foreign automobile giants such as Dongfeng, Changan, BYD, Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and the release of Hongmeng system will make Huawei's auto business section more complete.
