The continuous decline in share prices is related to the results announced earlier by Xilai. According to the latest financial report from Xilai, the net loss of NIO reached 9.639 billion yuan in 2018, and the delivery of new ES8 cars will also decline in the first quarter.

According to Xilai, ES8 deliveries from January to February 2019 were 1805 and 811, respectively, and it is expected to deliver between 3500 and 3800 in the first quarter. In addition, its revenue will fall by 55.9% to 59.5% in the first quarter.

NIO confirmed that the second model, the ES6, will be officially delivered to users in June this year, but the ES6 has declined compared to the popularity of the ES8. NIO management said it received fewer ES6 orders than ES8.

Another more important reason is that Ulai officially announced that it would cancel the plan to build its own plant in Jiading, Shanghai, and that it would continue to be manufactured by Jianghuai Motor for some time in the future.

The analysis said that these negative factors hurt the mood of investors.

The sharp price reduction of Tesla cars and the accelerated construction of domestic projects in Shanghai have weakened the power of domestic new car manufacturers to some extent.
