Have to say, in the market segment at this price, there are not many peer competitors who can compete with Chuanqi GA6. GAC MOTOR also hopes to bring about a turnaround and improvement in sales with a new generation of GA6.

In the past two years, GAC MOTOR's sales have plummeted due to the depression of the domestic car market. It took two or three years to increase sales from 135000 to 535000, but as of July this year, cumulative sales were only 213500, still a long way from the annual sales target set at the beginning of the year (600000). GAC MOTOR GS4 sold 8256 vehicles in July, down 54% from the same period a year earlier, and more than 54% in the first seven months. Since July, GAC MOTOR has not sold more than 10,000 models a month.

In terms of GAC MOTOR GS4's competitions, the July sales of Harvard H6, Geely Boyue and SAIC Roewe RX5 reached 19000, 12800 and 13000 respectively.

There is no doubt that the GA6 released not long ago is a "killer's mace" for the "continuation of life" of GAC MOTOR, which is directly directed against the Peugeot and the Camry.

According to data released by GAC GROUP, Accord sold 17000 vehicles in July, accounting for 32.7% of GAC Honda's sales, while Camry sold 15000 vehicles, accounting for 24.2% of GAC Toyota's monthly sales.

Yan Jianming believes that the new generation of GA6 can cover A-class and A + market segments, so as to promote sales. The monthly sales of new cars are expected to be 3000. Judging from the current market situation, if you can reach this level of sales, you can enter the top 10 of the market.

GAC MOTOR has said that the target of more than 8 per cent year-on-year growth of car sales in 2019 will be challenged. However, since 2018, GAC MOTOR's sales have dropped significantly, and in 2019, GAC MOTOR is far from the sales performance of Guangzhou Auto Toyota and Guangzhou Automobile Honda.

From the perspective of its development, the biggest factor affecting its sales is that the quality is not well guaranteed. Learned from the car quality network, Chuanqi GS4 accounted for nearly 80% of Chuanqi's complaints, including engine oil leakage, gearbox setbacks, suspension, air conditioning and other quality problems.

Although it has gone through 11 years of development, there is still an obvious gap between GAC MOTOR's product quality and brand premium ability and other advantageous independent brands and joint venture brands, which not only takes time to cultivate the market and provide better service to customers, but also needs to build consumer confidence through product quality and create a good reputation.

At present, these problems are urgently needed to be solved after Zhang Yuesai took office. After all, there is not much time left for GAC MOTOR.
