A few days ago, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd., Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd., and Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd., in accordance with the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products, filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. Due to the supply of spare parts, it was decided to recall the following vehicles in batches, totaling 199623. The details are as follows:

(1) Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. (a total of 51658 vehicles):

1. A total of 35843 imported R-class cars were produced from January 2, 2014 to April 4, 2017, which are scheduled to be implemented in batches from March 30, 2020.

2. A total of 6 imported SLS-class cars were produced from January 7, 2014 to February 5, 2014, which are scheduled to be implemented from July 30, 2020.

3. A total of 2062 imported Class C cars were produced from January 3, 2014 to May 27, 2015, which are scheduled to be implemented from April 30, 2021.

4. A total of 13747 imported E-class cars were produced from January 2, 2014 to December 16, 2016, which are scheduled to be implemented from July 30, 2021.

(2) Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. (a total of 122518):

1. A total of 10053 C-class cars were produced from January 2, 2014 to June 24, 2014, which are scheduled to be implemented from April 30, 2021.

2. A total of 112465 GLK-class cars were produced from January 2, 2014 to December 13, 2015, which are scheduled to be implemented from July 30, 2021.

(3) Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. (a total of 25447):

1. A total of 2746 domestic Ling cars were produced from January 13, 2014 to August 8, 2017, which are scheduled to be implemented from December 30, 2019.

2. A total of 18426 domestic Weiting and Viano cars were produced from January 13, 2014 to May 18, 2016, which are scheduled to be implemented from December 30, 2019.

3. A total of 4275 imported Ling cars were produced from January 1, 2014 to October 15, 2017, which are scheduled to be implemented from December 30, 2019.

The front airbags of some vehicles within the scope of this recall are equipped with ammonium nitrate gas generators without desiccant produced by Takata. During the deployment of the airbag, the gas generator may be damaged, resulting in debris flying out, injuring the people in the car, and there is a safety hidden danger.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd., Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. and Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace new airbags for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate safety risks. (note: for SLS class, Weiting, Viagra and some imported Lint vehicles, the front airbags of the driver's seat and copilot need to be replaced; for R-class, domestic Ling and some imported Ling-te vehicles, the airbags on the front of the driver's seat need to be replaced; for C-class, E-class and GLK-class vehicles, the front airbags of the passenger seat need to be replaced. )
