AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/29 Report--

因安全带装配不当 起亚召回30168辆Telluride大型SUV

According to foreign media reports, Kia recalled 30168 large Telluride SUV vehicles in the United States to replace incorrect seat belt assemblies installed in the second and third rows of seats. In a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Kia said seat belt components designed for sale in the Middle East "may have been inadvertently installed" on US cars. These seat belt assemblies do not have automatic emergency fastening seat belt devices.

Kia said in the document that the absence of a seat belt device without automatic emergency tightening "may not firmly protect the child restraint system", increases the risk of injury and does not meet federal motor vehicle safety standards. Kia sold 4559 Telluride large SUV in the United States in July and 27786 in the United States from January to July this year.

Ya said in an emailed statement that it had not received any information about consumer complaints, accidents or injuries. The affected driver seat belt assembly is not made in the United States.

Kia will inform the owner to send the vehicle to the nearest Kia dealership for inspection and maintenance free of charge. The car manufacturer will compensate the owner for the maintenance costs already incurred.
