GAC Toyota will launch four new cars in 2019, namely Camry dual-engine sports version, Lei Ling dual-engine E+, replacement Leiling and a new electric car. The closely watched new generation of Lei Ling will officially go on sale on May 20 and is expected to start pre-sale during the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, which opens on April 18.

Guangzhou Auto Toyota's new Lei Ling made its debut at the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show. The new car is based on the GA-C platform under the TNGA architecture. From the point of view of appearance, the new generation of Leiling has absorbed some of the design elements of the overseas version of the new Corolla, and the shape is more dynamic than the current model.

In terms of the side and rear, the overall line of the new car is still steady and solid, the triangular window of the C-column is sealed, while the roof line is stiff, it is expected that the head space in the back row will be guaranteed.

It is worth noting that although the details of the interior have not yet been officially announced, officials have earlier revealed that the new car will be equipped with a Chinese version of a 12.1-inch large display screen, which should be the largest among mainstream joint venture brands. In addition, it is also equipped with PM2.5 filtering system, which provides the latest generation of Zhihang interconnection system and Zhihang security system, of which the latest Zhihang interconnection system will be installed in all Toyota's future generation vehicles.

On the power side, officials have only announced that the new car will be equipped with the latest version of the 1.8L hybrid system, while the power of the fuel version has not yet been announced. As a mainstream joint venture family car, Lei Ling, like Carola, will have a new generation of models on the market in the middle of the year.
