The video clearly shows Vice President Shen taking his hands off the steering wheel on the highway while ES8 is running at the speed of 102km/h.

No matter corporate propaganda or traffic regulations, drivers are not allowed to take their hands off the steering wheel, but Vice President Shen did not realize the importance of safe driving when he showed off Wei's automatic driving assistance function.

Soon, Weibo netizens commented that this was a bad demonstration after Vice President Shen deleted Weibo.

Many netizens said that as a senior executive of NIO, Shen Fei made a bad example to the owner of NIO car. Some netizens said that if someone imitates something wrong, it is easy to get into trouble.

There is no doubt that Vice President Shen did not realize the seriousness of the problem.

In the promotion of the NIO Pilot function, Xilai also made it clear that driving assistance and parking assistance are not equal to automatic driving, and the driver always has the ultimate responsibility to control the vehicle.

Today, Weibo bloggers exposed several videos showing owners of Jilai "abusing" the driving assistance function, in the same way as Vice President Shen's dangerous driving behavior, both sides got off the steering wheel on the highway, and some owners even gave up taking the driver's seat.

The owner of the NIO car in the above video jammed the steering wheel with a mineral water bottle and faked the handheld steering wheel to fool the driving system.

When the owner of another car passed the 100km/h at high speed, he spread his legs and left his hands off the steering wheel, leaving the vehicle completely under the control of the driving system.

Dangerous driving behavior is not only irresponsible for its own safety, but also harmful to road traffic participants in the event of an accident. Therefore, this kind of behavior has been criticized by many netizens.

Some netizens said that Vice President NIO Shen's publicity could easily cause bad misleading to users, and hoped that he could publicly apologize and recover the bad influence.

The dangerous driving behavior of Vice President NIO Shen has continued to ferment on the Internet, bringing negative voices to enterprises. In fact, at present, the car itself is in dire straits.

Li Bin, founder of NIO, issued an internal letter on Aug. 22, acknowledging that in order to further control expenses and improve operational efficiency, he would cut another 1200 jobs in September because of major changes in the industry and the company.

Under the pressure of funds and delivery, Xilai has to start the "slimming program" again. During the rapid development of NIO, the total number of employees is about 9500, during which there have been many layoffs. In September, NIO will continue to lose 1200 jobs worldwide and retain 7500 by the end of September. Compared with the peak, the rate of layoffs in NIO is more than 20%.

NIO shares closed below $3 again at $2.86 on Aug. 30.
