Within these two days, the Office of the Guangzhou New Energy Development leading Group issued the Circular on the Local Financial subsidy Standard for the purchase of New Energy vehicles in 2019 and 2020. The notice defines the local financial subsidy standards for the purchase of new energy vehicles in Guangzhou in 2019 and 2020.

According to the notice, Guangzhou will provide phased subsidies for the purchase of new energy vehicles. During the period from January 1 to June 25, 2019, after obtaining the state subsidy, fuel cell vehicles are subsidized according to the proportion that does not exceed the state subsidy of 1:1, pure electric vehicles are subsidized according to the proportion that does not exceed the state subsidy of 10.5, and plug-in hybrid vehicles are subsidized according to the proportion that does not exceed the state subsidy of 10.3. And the total amount of state subsidies and local subsidies shall not exceed 60% of the vehicle sales price (state subsidies + local subsidies + the amount paid by consumers).

After receiving the state subsidy, fuel cell vehicles will be subsidized according to the proportion of no more than 1:1 of the state subsidy, and pure electric buses will be subsidized according to the proportion of no more than 1RV 0.5 of the state subsidy. And the total amount of state subsidies and local subsidies is no more than 60% of the vehicle sales price (state subsidies + local subsidies + the amount paid by consumers), and other types of vehicles are no longer given local subsidies.

It is worth noting that after June 25, except for pure electric buses, fuel cell vehicles can still receive a certain proportion of local subsidies, but pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles (including incremental programs) will no longer be given local subsidies. This change may have certain policy advantages for the promotion of fuel cell vehicles.
