The chairman and CEO Shen Hui said that he would push forward the organizational change internally and would serve as the general manager of the sales company from September 1st to adjust the organizational structure of the sales company and the strategic planning center, according to an internal letter from Weima Motor obtained from special sources. In addition, the development of smart travel, new retail and other areas will be accelerated. Lu Bin, senior vice president, will serve as chief travel officer, Qi Liren will serve as chief retail officer, and set up the post of chief increase officer, who will arrive in the next few weeks, all of which will report to Shen Hui.

It is worth mentioning that the internal letter also emphasizes the pursuit of intellectual property rights and user value. Shen Hui said in the internal letter: "even if the macro economy is weak and the overall car market is in the doldrums, the new energy market has temporarily turned to low growth, and the challenges and pressures from traditional car companies and new car manufacturers are getting stronger and stronger, but this will not slow down our forward research and development. Adhere to the investment in independent intellectual property rights, on the contrary, as start-ups, we should strengthen the investment in research and development and strengthen the creation of user value. Not afraid of the cold winter, not afraid of the challenges of the old forces, let alone the resistance to promoting change. "

Obviously, Shen Hui's remarks are related to the recent dispute between Weimar and Geely.

Recently, Geely appealed Weimar Motor to the Shanghai higher people's Court on the grounds of infringing on its technical secrets and its operation, asking the court to order the six defendants to jointly compensate them for their economic losses of 2.1 billion yuan. The case will begin on September 17.

In response to this case, Geely responded to the court's decision, and Weimar also said that it always adheres to positive research and development, and pays attention to the protection of its own intellectual property rights while ensuring that it does not infringe upon other people's intellectual property rights.

For Weima, as a new energy car manufacturing company that has not been founded for a long time, Weima is still in the process of development. in March this year, Weima completed a total of 3 billion yuan in C-round financing, and in early July, Shen Hui revealed that Weima is seeking investor financing around the world, raising up to 1 billion US dollars. It can be said that funds are still one of the conditions to ensure that Weimar moves forward, and the success or failure of this lawsuit is also very important to Weima.

In March this year, Weima completed a total of 3 billion yuan in C-round financing, and in early July, Shen Hui revealed that he was seeking financing worldwide, up to 1 billion US dollars.

Whether Weimar can win the case is still unknown, but Weimar also seems to be ready to deal with it.

From January to July this year, Weimar delivered more than 9000 new cars, continuing to take the lead in building new cars. At the same time, Weimar's new SUV model, the EX6 PLUS, has been listed in the catalogue of the 26th batch of new energy vehicles exempted from vehicle purchase tax released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology last week. The model is expected to go on sale in September.

In his internal letter, Shen Hui also mentioned Weima's next product: the 7-Series sedan project. It is reported that the Weima sedan project will be launched in 2021, with a mileage exceeding that of 700km.
