On the whole, Peugeot 408 continued to slaughter the list, Japanese car problems broke out, the number of complaints about two mainstream Japanese Class B cars increased greatly, Honda Accord rose to third place on the complaint list due to stall problems, and Toyota Camry was complained of instrument cracking and suspected design defects.

Statistics show that the number of effective complaints in August reached 7440, up 5.5% from the previous month and 19.9% from the same period last year. Complaints from independent brands accounted for 44%, American brands accounted for 17%, Japanese brands accounted for 13%, and German brands accounted for 12%.

Dongfeng Peugeot 408 plays "stable", is still the largest number of complaints, there are engine fault lights, tire cracking, shock absorber abnormal noise, burning oil and other problems. The Peugeot 408 sold only 5317 vehicles from January to July this year, with complaints focused on 2014-2016 models.

The previous generation of Buick Kay is one of the mainstream family cars, there is still a certain amount of market ownership, as the vehicles age, the problems will gradually increase. On the complaint list, Buick Kay has more and more problems with instrument cracks and engine oil leakage. Even if the current sales volume of Kaiyue is not as good as that of that year, it is often in the "main" position on the monthly complaint list.

Guangzhou Automobile Honda Accord has become the biggest "dark horse" in the past two months. The "stall door" broke out in the 10th generation Accord at the end of July, and there were many cases of high-speed stall, the engine fault light was on, and then the power suddenly disappeared. at present, this phenomenon is mainly concentrated in the fuel version of the Honda 1.5T turbocharged engine. The relevant 4S stores did not detect the fault code. Due to the concentrated outbreak of the case, GAC Honda immediately claimed to launch an investigation and verification.

As public opinion continued to ferment, GAC Honda officially announced the recall on Aug. 8, confirming that there were design defects in the 10th generation Accord and recalling 222674 Accord models equipped with 1.5T turbocharged engines. At the same time, Dongfeng Honda INSPIRE model sales of 30, 000 vehicles also have the defect.

Guangqi Honda said that due to the air velocity design at the exit of the engine intercooler, the vehicle in the recall area may cause a small amount of condensed water to gather at the outlet of the intercooler when driving in a high temperature and humidity environment such as heavy rain. in this case, during rapid acceleration, condensate droplets are sucked into the combustion chamber, resulting in engine misfire, which in extreme cases may cause the engine to enter protection mode. As a result, the acceleration of the vehicle is limited while driving, and there are hidden dangers in safety. The solution is to install a device that optimizes the air velocity at the outlet of the intercooler for vehicles within the recall area free of charge.

At present, it remains to be seen whether the stall problems in Accord and INSPIRE can be fundamentally solved after the recall.

Another Japanese Class B car with a big increase in complaints is the Toyota Camry. Toyota, which has always been known for its quality stability, has also been questioned by the outside world. "instrument aging cracking" problem is mainly concentrated in the old models, GAC Toyota unified reply: will be dealt with as soon as possible.

Other problems include engine start-stop system failures and suspected design defects. The design defect mentioned by the latter is precisely the early outbreak of the "mud door" incident, and at present, many car owners have found that mud is still accumulated in the engine cabin.

A number of German Volkswagen brands are on the list, including Lang Yi, Suiteng, Lingdu, Maiteng, Golf and Bora. The problems are mainly focused on the engine and gearbox.

Volvo body resonance problems still have complaints from car owners, mainly reflected in the compression of eardrums, earache and head bang during driving, affecting the driving experience. According to feedback from car owners, Volvo manufacturers gave the so-called "customer perception improvement plan" in April, but the solution was not obvious. In addition to "upgrading and improving in accordance with the relevant program", Volvo manufacturers also informed customers that the vehicle belongs to the normal range of vibration and there is no need to worry about vehicle safety and quality.

In terms of independent brands, although the number of complaints accounts for the majority, but a large number of complaints are scattered. Among the autonomous models on the list, the Zhongtai T600 and Chery Erize 5 are the most prominent, of which the T600 is complained of window lift faults, timing chain and gear faults, while the Arize 5 is caused by rust and abnormal gearbox noise.

From the proportion of complaints in August, Japanese brands exceeded German brands, mainly due to the continuous increase in the number of complaints from Accord, Camry and Xuanyi. The reliability of Japanese cars has once again been questioned by the outside world.
