According to the current national policy, the preferential policy of the purchase tax reduction will officially expire on December 31, 2020.

At present, new buyers can enjoy the preferential policy of exemption from purchase tax, but for new car buyers and regular users, it is not very friendly. Today, some Tesla car owners issued a joint letter listing various reasons to write to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration of Taxation, collectively demanding a tax refund.

A Tesla owner said that he bought a Tesla Model 3 driver's continuous flight version with a landing price of 470000 yuan, including purchase tax of 38500 yuan. Now, if the purchase tax is exempted, the price of the car is only 420000 yuan in the past three months. In this regard, many car owners who have bought Tesla models express their dissatisfaction and hope that the relevant departments can make tax rebates.

Some Tesla owners said in the letter that "those who purchase Tesla models that have entered the duty-free catalogue from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020 should enjoy a tax-free policy; among them, those who have purchased and micro-nano purchase tax on or before August 30, 2019 shall apply for a tax refund."

Tesla China responded: "Tesla has applied for exemption from purchase tax catalogue many times, but Tesla does not have the right to decide whether or not to enter the directory, nor does he have the right to release any relevant information to the public. The catalogue is jointly examined and issued by the Central Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration of Taxation and other ministries. Like ordinary consumers, enterprises can only know the entry of products through the final released catalogue after submitting application materials. Therefore, Tesla does not have the so-called deliberate concealment of information. "
