Honda officially released terminal car sales in China in August 2019. Honda's terminal sales in August were 124155, up 5.9 per cent from a year earlier. Of this total, Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 59449 vehicles in August, up 1.4 per cent from a year earlier, while Dongfeng Honda sold 64706 vehicles in August, up 10.5 per cent from a year earlier.

From January to August this year, Honda's terminal sales totaled 985514, up 18.4 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, GAC Honda's terminal sales in the first eight months were 495614, up 9.9% from the same period last year; Dongfeng Honda's terminal sales in the first eight months were 489900, up 28.4% from the same period last year.

Now the car market winter, the car market environment is not as good as before, but Honda can still maintain strong triple-digit growth, have to admire the strength of Honda. Although Honda's Accord and INSPIRE were affected by the "stall door" last month, it does not seem to have affected the sales of its other models.

Honda's steady sales performance in the Chinese market is mainly due to the excellent performance of Dongfeng Honda's denial of the Civic and CR-V models. In August, terminal sales of Civic and CR-V exceeded 20, 000.

The replacement Civic not only meets the sixth national standard, but also refines the details again. It is a very hot online celebrity car that has been optimized and upgraded again by Honda. It is normal for its monthly sales to exceed 20,000. However, compared with the peak Civic, there is still a certain distance. I believe that after the off-season is over, the upcoming Golden Nine and Silver Ten, Civic will go further in sales.

Honda CR-V, which has experienced a "throttle" with Civic, even stopped production for a time, but its sales have soared since its launch, and now it has exceeded 20, 000, making it a foregone conclusion to stay in the top 10 of the SUV list. Honda's CR-V sales exceeded 20, 000 in August, and according to the data released by the passenger Association in July, the SUV list has not yet exceeded 20, 000 models.

Civic and CR-V alone account for more than 40, 000 sales, accounting for 1/3. The remaining 80, 000 or so sales are contributed by other Honda models, such as the more popular Feido, Ling Pai, XR-V/ and other models.

The sales of Guangzhou Auto Honda is not as good as that of Dongfeng Honda, which is more or less affected by Accord. At the same time, in August this year, Guangzhou Auto Honda also released the Chinese name "Haoying" of its new SUV model BREEZE. As a sister model of Honda's CR-V, the new car is expected to go on sale at the end of 2019 or early 2020, when it will fill the gap in the compact SUV market of Guangzhou Automobile and Honda, or contribute more substantial sales growth to Honda.

In addition, the SPORT HYBRID (sharp hybrid) models of CR-V, INSPIRE, Accord and Odyssey also achieved good results, with terminal sales totaling 13274, an increase of 41% compared with July.

Honda's best-selling models focus on the home car market. This may also be the reason why Honda is so popular in the eyes of many domestic consumers. Even though the Civic and CR-V of the best-selling models have been recalled in China, and rights protection, and even some quality risks, but still can not worry about selling.
