The most authoritative auto agency in the United States has released a ranking of luxury car sales in the United States in August. according to the data, sales of major car companies increased in August compared with July. History is always strikingly similar. Lexus was also the defending champion in July and August last year, while Lexus sold 29931 vehicles in August, up 4.6% from a year earlier. Although Lexus's monthly increase is not excellent compared with other brands, but it is also because its cumulative sales were very good last month. In August, Lexus offset a 5.7 per cent decline in the rest of Lexus with an increase in sales of medium-sized SUV RX and compact SUV UX models.

In second place was BMW, which sold 25505 vehicles in August, up 7.2% from a year earlier, surpassing Mercedes-Benz again after July. Its SUV models are doing well, with the medium-sized SUV X5 selling 4522 vehicles, an increase of 103% year-on-year, and the latest launch of the large SUV X7 also contributed 1741 sales.

Mercedes-Benz and BMW ranked third with a sales gap of less than 1000, with a cumulative sales of 24771 vehicles in August, up 22% from a year earlier, but still lagged behind Lexus and BMW. Its sales are also the largest contributor to SUV models, with GLC compact car sales up 29 per cent year-on-year and midsize GLE sales up 48 per cent. As one of the top three of BBA, Audi's performance is not excellent, can only be said to be relatively stable, August sales of 21531 vehicles, a slight increase of 3% year-on-year, although the same monthly sales of more than 20, 000, but still slightly inferior to the top three.

The same stable performance of Acura, ranked fifth, it can be said that this and Audi's ranking "unchanged for a thousand years", although not a big surprise, but the victory is stable.

It has to be said that Gaines, which does not perform well in China, is a popular model in North America, with triple-digit year-on-year growth in July and August, and as high as 186.6% in August. The ranking of the rest of the models has not changed since July.

Among them, only three car companies showed a year-on-year decline, while Infiniti fell 14.9% over the same period, making it the biggest year-on-year decline among luxury brands. Jaguar Land Rover fell 8.5% and 13.8% over the same period. In addition, Lamborghini and McLaren also showed significant growth, with year-on-year increases of 85.6% and 56.5%, respectively.

Although Lexus won the championship for the second month in a row, it ranked third in terms of cumulative sales from January to August. BMW remains the best-selling luxury car in the United States, selling a total of 204960 cars from January to August, up 2.9% from a year earlier, followed by 8181 Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz sold 196779 vehicles in the first eight months, still down 1.2% from the same period last year.

With the improvement of car consumption, the advantage of luxury cars is becoming more and more obvious, which is why luxury cars can still grow steadily when the overall market is weak. Looking at luxury car sales in the United States, Lexus has completely replaced Audi, turning "BBA" into "LBB".
