On Sept. 6, Audi officially released its August sales figures for KuaiBao, which showed that Audi sold about 150100 vehicles worldwide in August, down 2.5% from a year earlier. Audi officials said the decline in global sales was due to a significant increase in sales last August driven by the clearance of existing models, especially in Europe. As a result, sales in the European home market fell 4.7 per cent in August.

From the model point of view, Audi Q5L as an upgraded model of Q5, the wheelbase is further optimized, in line with the consumer preferences of most Chinese consumers. In August, Audi delivered 13785 Audi Q5L vehicles to Chinese customers, up 25.3 per cent from a year earlier, according to official figures. Looking at the sales performance of all models, Audi has achieved good results in the Chinese market. From January to August this year, Audi sold 427447 vehicles in the Chinese market, an increase of 2.4 per cent over the same period last year.

In addition to the growth in the Chinese market, there has also been a small increase in the North American market. According to official data, Audi sold 25650 vehicles in North America in August, up 0.9% from January to August, while Audi sold about 171850 vehicles in January-August, down 6.4% from a year earlier. The US market sold 21531 vehicles in August, up 3 per cent from a year earlier, while the Canadian market sold 3166 vehicles in August, up 2.1 per cent from a year earlier. Recently, Audi Q3 has just started selling at dealers, and its demand has grown significantly in both the US and Canada, where sales of the compact SUV are 2420 and 730, respectively, up 78.3 per cent and 136.2 per cent respectively from a year earlier.

Notably, Audi's European market fell 4.7% in August from a year earlier, with sales of 57400 vehicles. Its sales mainly came from Audi Q3, of which 1775 were sold in Germany, up 14.6 per cent from a year earlier, 415 in the UK, up 88.6 per cent from a year earlier, and 711 in France, up 54.6 per cent.

Hildegard Wortmann, director of marketing and sales at Audi Automotive AG, said the surge in sales in the same period last year continued to affect our market performance in August. The launch of new models such as the new Audi Q3 and the updated Audi Q7 will boost sales, and Audi's sales will have a clear growth trend in the coming months.

In addition to the competition in the traditional fuel vehicle market, new energy has gradually become the weight of competition among car companies. Audi will launch the eye-catching pure electric SUV-- Audi e-tron in the domestic market, which gives Audi a "first-mover" advantage in the domestic new energy market, which is more conducive to the later product layout.
