BYD sold 35390 passenger cars in August. Of these, 16100 new energy vehicles were sold in August and 19290 fuel vehicles were sold. From January to August, BYD passenger car sales totaled 288998, down 3.3 per cent from the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles from January to August were 172871, up 56.7% from the same period last year, and the cumulative sales of fuel vehicles were 116100, down 38.28% from the same period last year.

On the whole, new energy vehicles are still the main sales force of BYD, of which the dynasty series models have made a great contribution. The Song family sold 17174, the Tang family sold 4833, the Yuan family sold 4127, and the Qin family sold 3635. Among them, the most eye-catching performance is the newly listed BYD Song Pro, which delivered 12716 new cars in August, making it the top seller of the BYD dynasty series.

According to sales figures, the Song family of the dynasty series achieved good results in August, with BYD Song, BYD Song Pro and BYD Song MAX achieving a combined performance of 17174 vehicles.

Among them, BYD Song Por, which went public in July, lived up to expectations, winning 5542 vehicles in the first month, and breaking the 10,000 mark for the first time in August, winning a delivery volume of 12716 vehicles, with considerable potential in the future. BYD Song MAX sold 4458 vehicles in August, a significant drop from last year's results.

In addition, the cumulative sales of the Tang family of the dynasty series exceeded 180000 and won 4833 vehicles in August. It is still the main force in BYD's camp, and its sales performance has declined compared with that of previous months, but in the current car market environment, the decline in sales is not inevitable. With the more competitive price of the Tang DM dual-engine four-wheel drive version is about to appear on the market, with the help of new models of the Tang Dynasty series is expected to achieve good results.

The BYD family sold 4127 vehicles in August and now its cumulative sales have exceeded 160000. Although the Yuan series is an entry-level model of BYD, the market performance has been excellent since the launch of the Yuan EV.

The Qin family has accumulated sales of more than 200000, but its performance in August was not outstanding, winning only 3635 vehicles, a slight decline compared with the same. But at the Chengdu auto show, the fuel version of BYD Qin EV/ officially went on sale, with the pre-price of the EV version at 13.98-146800 (after subsidy) and the fuel version at 6.68-86800. After the replacement of Qin, the competitiveness has been enhanced, and the compact car market will work together with Qin Pro in the future.

In addition to the dynasty series, "e-net" is also one of the focuses of BYD's development. At present, there are three models in the BYD e series, including E1, e2 and S2. Among them, E1 and S2 sold 1100 and 1341 vehicles respectively in August, while the e2, which locates cross-border pure electric vehicles, is also on display at the Chengdu auto show, launching a total of four models with a price range of 898-119800 yuan.

With the continuous development of new energy vehicles in the market and the comprehensive renewal of dynasty series models, BYD is not very sad in the grim situation of the car market. In addition, BYD also has advantages in technology and cost, mastering core motor, battery and vehicle technology, pure electric e-platform and third-generation dual-mode technology, attracting many partners, including Audi, Changan and Toyota.

In addition, BYD has also made dual preparations for the research and development of power batteries. Not long ago, BYD said at its performance meeting that it would launch a new generation of lithium iron phosphate batteries from May to June next year. It is understood that the new generation of lithium iron phosphate battery can not only greatly increase the energy density, but also reduce the cost by 30%. At the same time, the research and development of BYD "811" ternary lithium battery has also entered the road test stage.
