Recently, Changan Automobile updated all its platform brand LOGO to the new style LOGO design, still using the classic Changan standard, the most obvious change is from three-dimensional modeling updated to flat design, the logo itself is all black elements, the new LOGO appears to be very simple.

Flattening style is the current trend of new design. In the automotive industry, including Volkswagen and Toyota, a new style of flattened LOGO has been adopted in the field of media communication, so as to meet the needs of the electrified era.

According to the third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Plan of Changan Automobile, its products will focus on creating "intelligence" and "new energy". In terms of new energy, Changan Automobile will promote the "Shangri-La" plan to complete the construction of three special platforms for new energy vehicles by 2020, and completely stop the sale of traditional fuel vehicles by 2025 to realize the electrification of full-spectrum products.

In terms of smart products, Changan Automobile will implement the "Beidou Tianshu" plan, changing from a traditional car company to a technology travel company. Chang'an plans to achieve mass production of self-driving L3 by 2020 and L4 by 2025.

However, Changan Automobile is in the predicament of declining sales and performance.

According to the 2019 semi-annual report released by Changan Automobile, revenue in the first half of the year was 29.88 billion yuan and net profit was-2.24 billion yuan, down 16.2% and 239.2% respectively from the same period last year. The main reason for the loss was a sharp drop in sales.

In the first half of 2019, the overall sales of Changan Automobile fell 31.65% from the same period last year to 825200 vehicles, of which the cumulative sales of Changan independent brands decreased by 26%, while its joint venture brands declined across the board.

The application of the new LOGO is the beginning for the company to change its brand image, and it also shows that Changan Automobile adapts to the needs of the electrified era.
