Since its launch in October last year, the "New Pentium" brand has launched two new SUV models, T77 and T33. Pentium's third SUV--T99 was officially unveiled on Sept. 9. The new car will go offline on Sept. 19 and go on sale at the end of October. The new car, which is located in the five-seat flagship SUV, continues the design language of the Pentium T77 and will carry the same 2.0T engine as the Red Flag HS5.

As the current flagship model of the family, the overall shape of the Pentium T99 is very burly. In appearance, Pentium T99 continues to adopt the family design concept of "light and shadow folding". The front face uses octagonal large-size front grille, the interior is dot matrix design, and the overall shape is domineering. The outer outline is wrapped in chrome strips, and the two sides are connected to the headlamp group. the daytime driving lights adopt the "1" shape design style, and the fog lamp area is triangular. In terms of body size, the length, width and height are 4800mm/1915mm/1685mm and the wheelbase is 2870mm.

The interior of Pentium T99 is also a bright spot, continuing the "thin ring and light suspension" interior style of the T family, in which the console is decorated with stitches to enhance the sense of luxury, and the penetrating large screen is equipped with two 12-inch LCD screens. The 12-inch digital dashboard will clearly display all kinds of driving information. The new car is also equipped with a crystal electronic lever similar to the BMW X5, which will be equipped with upgraded D-Life system, intelligent driving, 3D hologram, face recognition, streaming rearview mirror and other technology configuration.

In terms of power, T99 is equipped with the same 2.0T engine as Hongqi HS5. The engine adopts 10 core technologies, such as high compression ratio + Miller cycle combustion, 350bar precise fuel injection, full MAP precision intelligent thermal management technology, and two-stage variable displacement oil pump. The thermal efficiency reaches 39% and meets the national six emission standards.

According to official figures released by FAW Pentium, monthly sales of the Pentium brand were 10039 in August, up 96 per cent from a year earlier, and a cumulative sales of 64345 from January to August this year, up 15 per cent from 55922 in the same period last year.

The upcoming Pentium T99, although the price range is significantly higher than that of the T77, the body of large and medium-sized SUV is loved by consumers. Although more than 100000 yuan of independent SUV faces the impact of joint venture compact SUV price reduction, for many consumers who like large space, the first-line independent brand big SUV is still acceptable to them.
