According to official sources, Yixuan, Dongfeng Fengshen's new compact car, will be officially launched tonight (September 9). The new car is based on the first model built on the CMP platform jointly developed by Dongfeng Group and Peugeot Citroen Group, with a pre-sale price of 74900 yuan.

In appearance, the new Yixuan front face adopts the design of inverted ladder-shaped air intake grille, the open design on both sides connects the LED headlights on both sides, the middle of the grille uses a thick silver trim to pass through the car logo, and the air intake part uses a large number of diagonal designs with exaggerated "fangs" decoration on both sides.

In the side part, the new strip adopts a slip-back design, and a thick black guard plate is used around the window for edge decoration. The rear part of the ducktail is designed, and the through-type taillights are added on both sides like the front to increase the sense of layering. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4660/1812/1490mm and the wheelbase is 2680mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car provides titanium alloy all-black and passionate black and red interior colors. It is also equipped with three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, 7-inch color liquid crystal display, 10.25-inch suspension central control screen and so on. In addition, the car will also be equipped with an L2-level driving assistance system and an upgraded version of the WindLink system.

In the power system, Yixuan will provide 1.0T and 1.5T engines with a maximum power of 125 horsepower and 150 horsepower respectively, with a peak torque of 230 Nm for 1.5T engine.

As the first model of the new platform, Dongfeng Shenxin Yixuan has a stylish design in power and shape, and has a bit of Honda Civic feeling in appearance, but in the face of the entire Dongfeng Group, except for Kaiji brands, including independent brands and French brands, there has been a decline in varying degrees, achieving a slight year-on-year increase in August, and whether the new model can drive Dongfeng's sales will also wait and see.

In August, Dongfeng Group's overall sales reached 281900, up 3.97 per cent from the same period last year, passenger car sales reached 237400, up 2.25 per cent, and Dongfeng's own-brand passenger cars sold 41400, up 5.08 per cent from the same period last year.
